GRACE

I am so screwed, what could be worse than me going to that office party my boss just demanded I attend.

I was gaining my distance successfully, until he went all alpha mode on my ass. This is not good; this cannot be happening. What if he offers to drop me home again? What happens when he sees where I live? The house I lived in. A hole forms in the pit of my stomach, I must think of something fast.

I know! As the clock strikes twelve, I can leave as fast as I can without anyone noticing. Yes! That's a great plan. Easy as pie.

I finish off my cart duties of delivering portfolios and make my way to the lunchroom. Not many staff are here this time of day, since we caddies take our lunch before the higher paid staff.

I take my usual spot in the corner in the back, enjoying my quiet time. I placed my elbows on the table and rest my head in my hands. My mind wondering back to my boss, what would he look like totally shirtless. SHUT UP MIND! Maybe, it wouldn't be such a bad idea to go to that party after all. No, no, no, I got to focus.

I'll just say hi then leave. That's it. While I'm running through my thoughts the presence of someone sitting near me draws my attention.

Grace? Oh shit! Why is he here and I don't mean in the building, I mean like right here sitting down next to me.

"Can I talk to you for a minute?" Raising my head slowly, I try not to show much panic on my face.

He pays close attention to my every move. "I just want to say, I'm sorry for what happened and hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me". I open my mouth then shut it again. Is he really apologizing? He doesn't seem like the type. But then again when you hold a high position such as his it calls for what some might class as being the bigger man which he definitely is.

My mouth watered a bit, as filthy thoughts start flooding my mind. Girls like me can only fantasize because guys like that only go for the magazine type. And I'm no way close to it.

"It's not a problem" I said to him. He smiled and got up; he hasn't made a good three steps yet. Turning back, he looked at me and said, "We should hang out some time, so we can get to know each other. Boss to employee.

Even though I heard what he said, I know I heard what he said, but... I shot up from my seat and look him in the eye. Sir is this some kind of joke? I asked. He looked a bit stunned by my sudden outburst. Taking a step closer he replied, "Why would I joke about that? I do want to get to know you better, Grace".

I'm so confused right now, how can he turn from cold to hot within a few hours. He seemed genuine. Is this my fairytale story? With a hot prince in a perfectly tailored suit? Nah, he just said it was a boss to employee kind of thing. Nice going mind. Running wild on something that will never happen.

How more perverted can one mind get? Anyway, after our little chat, I went back to my cart and off to deliveries I went.

I felt eyes on me everywhere I went, and every time I turn, no-ones there. Creepy much, only a few more hours to go. Then I can get myself out of this place. Too much boss testosterone. He's like sex on a stick.

After my long workday, I was eager to get home and unwind. To forget the day's events and soak under the cold running water. Time is ticking and before I know it, it will be the day of the office party. Think, think, think!

Walking through my front door, I smiled at the little place I called home. It might not be fancy but to me it's everything and where the magic happens.

Stripping my clothing on the way to the bathroom. I worked my brain over time to come up with a plan. Why me, damn it.

If I could not go that be great, but that means me getting fired. I always get the shitty end of the stick. After my bath, I throw in a big old jersey, made some tea and sat by the window to read my book. It's peaceful here, and the only place I can think.

As I brace myself by the window, sweet sleep takes over. And off to dreamland I went. The sounds of birds chirping echoed through the house, it was six in the morning, and I felt great.

Reality checked in as I walk through the office doors. Great, just peachy. I tried to sneak pass the front desk, but a familiar voice calls out to me. "Grace! Hold on a sec", I turn to find my boss walking up to me. Good morning, sir, I said. "I need to speak with you", he ushered me inside his office locking the door. Crap. This cannot be good.

"Do you have a phone?" He asked. No sir I don't. Sir why are you asking me this? The date to the office party moved up and I want you to handle the dècor ". "I need a contact for you, so I can call to keep in touch with the updates ".

I think my heart just stop, no wait.... That's my brain. I felt nauseous, how do I explain my living situation without being found. He was up to something, but I can't just blow off my boss now, can I? He offered to buy a phone so I can contact him, I nodded and thank him and speed walk out of his office.

My heart felt like it was on a treadmill at high speed. And with the date to the party closer now, I don't have much time. I spent the rest of the day busying myself with deliveries, avoiding him at ALL cost.
