Part 3 - Job Opportunity

It's been a few days since you last saw Beetlejuice.

You were currently looking for a job, moving out of this hell hole was your number one priority. You decided that today was the day to actually go out to town and look for one, instead of sitting around and complaining.

Grabbing a black, leather jacket you walked out of your room and exited the house. Breathing in fresh air, you excitedly walk to town. It wasn't far, so you only had to walk about 5 minutes to get there.

Arriving you see it was rather quiet, with only a few people walking around. You were walking around when you spotted a library. You had always been a big fan of reading ever since you were 9 and discovered The Lord of the Rings.

When you walked over to it you noticed a poster on the wall that read, '' Help Wanted, go inside for full details ''. Entering the small building, you notice a short, young looking ginger woman dressed in a comfortable, brown sweater with black tights.

'' Excuse me, are you guys hiring? '' you say as you step up to the front. She looks up and gives you a sweet smile.

'' Yep! We desperately need staff. '' she responds.

'' That's great, I'm Lydia Deetz. I'm new in town, when can we start the interview? '' you question her with hope in your eyes. You really have to move out, you can't deal with your father and Delia's crap anymore.

'' Oh, you just fill in the form over there. '' she said as she pointed to the desk covered in books and between them was a green envelope that had the form in it. You walked over to grab it, excited for a new job. If you get it, that is.

'' Thank you so much, when should this be in? '' you ask.

'' Tomorrow, we'll be open from 8 am to 2 pm since it's Sunday, good luck! '' she replied with a smile.

'' Thanks, have a nice day! '' you say, and she returns the words.

Stepping out you feel a cold gust of air. You walk hastily back home, excited to tell your friend, Dawn, all about your job. Dawn has been your friend for at least 9 years. You two are still very close and she's practically your only friend at the moment.

Stepping in your house you're greeted with warm air and the smell of scented candles, probably lit by Delia. Your father is in front of you, looking irritated.

'' And where were you? '' your father asks snarkily. You sighed; he is always upset over everything. Ever since Delia came along, he's been happier. Suddenly you come to realization that Delia might not be so bad.

'' I was out looking for a job, all I have to do is fill out this form and I'll be working at the library in town. '' you reply. He scoffs and walks away which annoys you. He couldn't even be proud of you for once or even slightly change his attitude toward you.

Falling on your bed, you grab your phone and start to message Dawn. Out of nowhere, Beetlejuice appears on your bed with his eyes lit up.

'' Hey, babes. What ya up to? '' he asks with that smirk he always has on his face.

'' Well, if you really want to know, I got a job opportunity at the library five minutes away from here. '' you reply.

'' Library? I didn't take you for a nerd. '' he said playfully which made you chuckle.

'' So, where have you been? '' you ask curiously. You haven't really put much thought into where he goes when he's not at the house.

'' Nowhere, really, '' he says in response. '' You got any stuffs for me to do? ''

'' There is something you could do for me.. '' you smirk.
