Lizzie's pov

With Y/N in Baltimore, I decided to spend some quality with Scarlett after we finished work. So Scarlett and I were just snacking and drinking wine, especially after spending the whole day with kids.

"So, how is it going with you and Y/N?" She asked me.

"It's going amazing." I told her honestly. "I am so in love with him. He is nothing like Robbie."

"I knew you two would hit it off from the moment you met." She told me with a smirk. "Colin tells me how he used to be quiet and shy."

"No way." I said in disbelief as she nodded.

"Yeah." She said as she took a sip of her wine.

"How is it with Colin?" I asked her as I rested my head on my hand.

"It's going great." She started. "He asked me to be his girlfriend."

"Finally. It took him how long." I said as she nodded.

"I know. I was starting to think he didn't like me as much anymore." She told me. "But then when he asked me he was so nervous. Completely nervous. It was cute."

"I'm so happy for you." I squealed as I hugged her.

"I've noticed that Chris seems to stare at you a lot." Scarlett smirked.

"Uhh. I know. When I called in sick last week because I wanted to spend the whole day with Y/N, if you know what I mean. He came by with soup." I told her with an embarressed look on my face. "I only had on my dressing gown. I kind of felt bad for him when he saw Y/N come from behind me but with the way he spoke to him. That washed away instantly."

"He is clueless." She laughed as I nodded.

"Since then, he hasn't even spoken to me. Just stares at me whenever he enters the room." I told her. "It kind of makes me uncomfortable."

"Maybe you should talk to him. Explain that it will never happen between the two of you." She told me. I just nodded knowing that she is right. I just need to have a polite conversation with him.

"I will tomorrow at work." I told her as she yawned. The two of us decided to head to bed. She disappeared into the guest room while I retreated in my own. Grabbing Y/N's shirt and putting it on for bed before reaching for my phone, deciding to call him.

"Hey." He answered making me smile as I heard his voice.

"Hey. I just wanted to hear your voice." I told him softly.

"I will be home in a couple of days." He told me with a light chuckle, making me smile.

"I can't wait." I told him softly. I truly couldn't wait to see him again.

"Me too sunshine. I miss you." He sighed.

"I miss you. So much." I whispered. Listening to his breathing.

"I have to go." He yawned. "I have a conference in the morning." He told me. "I love you."

"I love you too." I smiled wider. "Get some sleep. We'll talk tomorrow." He mumbled a tired goodbye before we both hung up. Falling asleep with a huge smile on my face.

The next day rolled around fast, both Scarlett and I decided to car pool since she decided to stay with me at my place again since Colin is on a double shift.

"Are you going to talk to him today?" She asked me as we walked out of the faculty lounge. Feeling Chris's eyes on us.

"I am. After school hours though." I told her.

"Do you want me to be with you?" She asked me.

"It's ok." I told her.

"Well I will just wait outside the room just in case." She told me matter of factly before we both went to our classrooms. Getting ready for the manic day to start with excited kids. Especially since I have a little art project for my kids today.

I helped them throughout the whole project. I enjoyed watching their happy little faces as they had a relaxing day. It is crucial for kids to even have a day off sometimes too.

Once the final bell went, signalling the end of the day for the kids. Bidding them a good weekend as they left. I had previously already asked Chris to meet me in my classroom.

"Hey." I greeted him as he knocked on the door.

"You wanted to talk with me?" He asked me as I nodded with a polite smile.

"I did." I spoke softly. "I want you to stop staring at me whenever I am in the same room as you." I told him, watching as he clenched his jaw.

"I'm not staring." He started before I interrupted him.

"If you say you were admiring, I swear to god." I groaned before crossing my arms. "I have a boyfriend and we are serious."

"Of course you are." He rolled his eyes making me scoff.

"We are. Y/N and I are very happy together." I told him sternly.

"Where is he now?" He questioned as he stepped forward.

"He is working too." I told him.

"He's in Baltimore." He stated as I waited for an explanation as to how he knows. "I overheard you and Scarlett talking." I noticed in the corner of my eye, Scarlett stood in the doorway. Waiting for the moment to step in.

"Yeah. He is there for work." I told him sternly. He just nodded as he now towered over me.

"Liz, can I borrow you for a sec. I just want a pair of fresh eyes to look over tomorrows lesson plan." Scarlett said as she knocked on the door.

"Can't it wait?" Chris asked her without sparing her a glance.

"No." She told him as she stepped further inside the classroom. Wrapping her arm around my own and leading me to her classroom. "He is really starting to give me psycho vibes now."

"I know." I whispered once we entered her classroom. "Thank you." I told her which she just smiled at me.

"I'll always have your back Liz." She smirked at me making me laugh. I just then sat in her chair, waiting for her to finish what she has to do before she came with me back to my empty classroom. Finishing up for the day before going home to relax.
