Monday
So I was chillin on the couch when my mom came home with a bagful of stuff "I'm home!" She said. My mom is a stay at home mom so she has time for errands and stuff like that. My little siblings the twins Andrew and Andrea (A.K.A the little bothers) had came downstairs. "Watcha got momma?" Asked Andrea. "Some stuff for my kiddos." She said ruffling their heads. "Now come on let's sit down I can give you your gifts, you too Harper." So we all sat down at the dinning table. For Andrea, a handheld game I got you some games!" Said mom. "Sweet!" "Where's my present momma?" Asked Andrew. "You got the same thing, but I got you manly games!" "Yay!" I was hoping I would get a new phone, why? So I can have bragging rights toward Rebecca Samuels. The vain of my existence the one other person that annoys me more than the twins. "And for you Harper." She gave me a little blue book. "Mom what's this?" I asked. "A diary." She replied. "And why do I have this?" "Cause your thirteen now and I feel you should share your thoughts more, but not aloud to people just in this book." I sighed. "Thanks mom." "Your welcome!" I walked upstairs to my room. I'm not an ungrateful kid, but I'm just not into writing. I'm a straight A student, I just don't have time for all of this writing stuff. I mean I'm getting braces soon I have band practice and photography club. Yeah I love taking pictures I have a picture wall. Then my phone buzzed on my desk.
K: Hiya what's up
The girl who texted me was my best friend Mackenzie, Kenzie for short.
H: Nothing much, my mom got back from the store with gifts
K: Oh what did she get you?
H: Just a diary
K: that's all? I thought you would have a new phone so you would get bragging rights
H: Ikr
K: Well what are you gonna do with it
H: The least thing I can do is write in it
K: That's cool, I'm gonna hit the the hay good night
H: Night
I shut my phone off I might as well go to sleep. There was a knock on my door. "Come in." It was my mom. "Just coming in to say goodnight." "Ok." I replied. My mom sat down on my bed. "Look honey, I know you were hoping for a new phone but apart of growing up is learning to accept disappointment." "Ok." "So do me a favor, write in that book and someday the future you will find this book and you'll laugh at the stuff you did when you were 13." "Okay." I sighed. "Good night my little harp." She kissed me on top of my head. "Good night mom." She left the room. Maybe writing in a diary might not be so bad well that's all I'm gonna write
Well bye for now
