Distance between us gone awry.

Love is a fast car driving without brakes into the fog of inclement night.

Upon slippery pavement of memories and sorrow searching for guiding light

Taking you to the arms forever sought and found and eternally again awaited.

Where you are filled with unforgettable memories, which you never anticipated.

Then when you savored that heavenly bliss, you found within her heavenly embrace.

Now alone there is an empty feeling in your heart and a thirst you long to again taste.

But time is a cruel creature, which passes for reality and often truth never prevailed.

Leaving you adrift upon loves endless ocean without navigation or wind to sails.

There you are once again left without hope or prayers to man made god so untrue

You may wish such fantasies were reality, but time passes with pain you never knew

Existed though your hopes foolishly anticipated would come true, yet reality resisted.

It left you behind the wheel on trip to nowhere you believed could become this real.

That you found yourself once again stalled in the fast lane again to nowhere to feel

The cherished romance together you each year shared and savored without a care.

Now you find yourself once more without her love and the hope she remains near

Within vehicle of your love and dreams you long her love forever yours come true

Yet now you find yourself alone in a fast car going nowhere far from love you knew.
