Prologue: What is there to be?

Before this story begins, it would be better to show who/ what we are working with here. To put it short-term, a so said "hero" and a made out to be "villain" go from "enemies to lovers". But that just sounds like every "enemy to lovers" story. The thing is, they aren't entirely enemies. It's better to put more context to this said to be a "hero" and "villain", let us first get to know the "hero" of our story.
Who once was a young boy who had issues with sight, goes to a spy who has lost almost all sense of sight. Known as "The Mole". From a boy who showed interest in everything around him to a now aggressive and self-kept spy who showed independence and was said to be fearless. Mole got the job done no matter the circumstances, his job was important but a certain someone felt like a prick in the ass to him while on the job. This is said to be someone known as Moles's enemy or rival "The Rat".
The Rat stands alone and is also a spy, but not as how Mole is. Quite the opposite. When Rat was younger and lived in France with a distant family, Rat was influenced by the usual teenagers, doing drugs or drinking at a young age. His guardians were negligent and didn't seem to care but he always loved the spies on TV and wanted to be exactly like them. Needless to say, Rat did become one when he moved from France to the big city of New York, just not the one he would watch on television. He loved what he did as a "villain", his younger self would be so proud.
We now know our characters but what caused their rivalry? They work for enemy corporates who both do spy work, so it's a game of capturing the flag when it came to working for the two of them. But there is something in particular that Rat wants something that Mole has a grip on, this something was not work-related at all but Rat desperately would work his ass off to try to get the camera he wanted. That's right a camera. Rat found that camera with several important photos that can't be shown to anyone. But Mole had to come in and snatch it up from Rat, Ever since then its been a game of cat and mouse to get that camera.
