Duncan's pov
I was laying in bed, trying to sleep and not cry with my head feeling fuzzy. This sickness is messing me up. I heard a knock at the door. "May I come in?" I heard a Hispanic voice say from behind the door. Great, now Alejandro's come to gloat about how he was right and I was wrong.
"It open." I half yelled at the door.
The door creaked open and sure enough there was Alejandro. He walked in and sat on the end of my bed. "Duncan I have something for you." He said as I sat up and wrapped a blanket around my head. I noticed that he had his hands behind his back.
He pulled his hands out from his back to show a small box. He handed it to me and I looked at it. The wrapping paper was a bit childish, baby blue and light yellow with a blue bow on the top but I didn't mind.
"Go on, open it." Alejandro said with a smile.
I pulled the bow off and ripped open the box. There were a few things inside, a get-well-soon card, a few bottles of water, canned soup. You know, things that would help with being sick. But there were a few things at the bottom that surprised me. It was a brown teddy bear with a little bow tie. The fuzzies I had been fighting took over when I saw it. I picked it up and hugged it like it had just saved my life.
"Mi Rey, are you okay?" Alejandro asked. I looked at him confused why would I be okay?
He seemed to pick up on my confusion. "You have tears running down your face." I wipe my check and look at my hand. I was crying.
"Do you need anything mi rey?" He asked me and I nodded in response.
"Okay, what do you need?"
I rub my stomach. I don't want to talk right now. He seemed to get the memo. "Okay, what do you want to eat, penqueño?" He asked as he scoop me up into his arms.
I put my head into his chest. I don't know what I wanted to eat, I probably couldn't keep it down anyway. I feel icky.
"Penqueño, do you not want to talk right now?" Alejandro asked. I nodded.
"That's okay mi rayo de sol." He cooed as he hugged.
He picked me up, wrapped in a blanket and carried me to the kitchen. After setting me down on a chair he went and made something. Chicken noodles soup.
He sets the soup down on a table and sits on the chair next to me. He grabbed the sprok and scooped up some soup, blew on it and fed it to me. It was really yummy. After I'm done eating he takes the bowl to the sink then comes back and picks me up and my blanket up.
He walks back to my room where we watch cartoons for the rest of the night.
