Chapter 1: Romance Exists Only In Comics!

I am a seemingly average student, and today is my first day at a high school in Tokyo. My name is Karin Yukimura. I am a studious student obsessed with high grades and a person who can beat up boys like nothing due to my skills in karate, which is the reason they stay meters away from me. I am not interested when it comes to romance manga or anime, as for me, they only exist in the manga. I am pretty much determined to achieve my goal of setting up a stable career in the future. Everyone around me thinks that I think about this way too early and that I should focus on enjoying my once-in-a-lifetime youth. Little did I know that my first day at high school would bring a big change in my life.

First day of high school.

"Karin!!!"

"Airi?"

"Why are you always in a hurry?" Said Airi huffing and puffing.

"Because...we are going to miss the entrance ceremony!"

"Why...in the world are you so boring!? I can't believe how I became your friend three years ago!"

After the entrance ceremony,

-Classroom-

"Wow!! It's great that we are assigned to the same classes!! "

"I guess so!"

" That's it! I don't know what should I do with you.....? You are a hopeless sigh....." Said Airi and shook her head left and right.

"Hey, guys! Did you read this new manga? It was awesome!" Said a girl.

"Yeah, I did! It was great!" Said Airi and jumped into the conversation.

"I know, right? It was so romantic! My heart was beating like crazy!! Kyaa!!" Said the girl.

".....Why .....are you guys surrounding me!?" said Karin, closing the book with full force.

"You don't like shoujo manga?"

"Uh...she is kind of twisted when it comes to romance stuff! " Said Airi laughingly trying to break the ice.

"Who are you calling twisted.....?"

"Gulp...." Airi turned pale as she felt a deadly aura behind her.

*Bang*

The door of the classroom opened, and the teacher entered.

"Guys! I am your homeroom teacher! Please be seated! And welcome to the school. I am looking forward to having a good year with you all!"

"You saved me, teacher!!" Thought Airi.

"Sigh...why are they so dramatic...? It's not like romance....is anything great....? Well, I didn't even experience my heart skip a beat when I see a boy..." Thought Karin looking outside the window.

A while later,

*Bang*
The door of the classroom opened, and a boy entered the classroom.

"Ha...ha ... I am sorry... I got late!" Said the boy who came in running huffing and puffing.

"It's your first day of high school, you know!! And yet, you came late!?" Said the teacher angrily.

"I already apologised, didn't I?" Said the boy and smiled at the teacher.

The whole class went silent as soon as he entered. He had a stunning appearance, having light blonde hair and emerald green eyes. He looked similar to an angel. As he smiled at the teacher, the teacher suddenly paused.

"Oh my! Fine! You can just sit at the back! Since that's the only place left!" Said the teacher shyly.

"Hi! I am Yuki Sanada! It's nice to meet you!" Said Yuki and gave a heart-skipping charming smile.

"Kyaaaa!! An angel!?"

The girls in the class went crazy and surrounded him, asking him questions and swooning over his face. Karin remained indifferent and didn't pay any attention and focused on reading the book. She was the only girl who kept seated, and the seat beside her was the empty one. As the chaos settled, Yuki sat on the desk beside Karin. He stole a glance and peeked at Karin, and to his surprise, she noticed. She turned her face towards him, and the strong breeze made her long hair flow. She had no expression on her face, but Yuki's heart skipped a beat at that moment, and a memory came flowing into his mind that he had long forgotten.

"Wow! I saw something interesting! Hehe, " Thought Airi, looking at the two and smiled.

Meanwhile, the girls were still in a daze, and the boys kept cursing Yuki.
