Now that both men realized their assumptions about each other's identity were correct, the chemistry began to flow. They maintained their domestic acts of cooking, washing dishes, and laundry. Złośliwy Lis returned the paper he had found to Ciekawski Kot and when their fingers grazed it was like lightning struck, and Złośliwy Lis quickly pulled his hand away at the shock that lit his body on fire. He both loved and hated the effect Ciekawski Kot was having on him.

He tried to keep his distance, but that was almost impossible because they kept gravitating towards each other as if unable to resist the pull. It raised many questions in each of their minds and few questions received answers. Ciekawski Kot desperately wanted to know everything, but Złośliwy Lis wouldn't budge. It was as though he was hiding things, but Ciekawski Kot couldn't make himself care because at least the man he had fallen for was right in front of him.

Why didn't he look like his Little Fox? Why didn't he sound like his Little Fox? Ciekawski Kot wondered if he would ever get the answers to those two questions.

Ciekawski Kot waited quietly on the couch for Złośliwy Lis to head to bed.

"So, you're sleeping there I'm assuming?" Złośliwy Lis inquired.

Ciekawski Kot tilted his head considering the question. "Well-I mean I wouldn't mind joining you," he admitted, trying not to sound too hopeful.

"Hmm. By all means," Złośliwy Lis replied with a little purr in his tone before he headed into his bedroom, a slight flutter in his stomach at the thought of not sleeping in his California king bed alone. He changed into red silk pajama pants and a red silk pajama top before checking his weapons and climbing into bed. It was raining out, and he left the lamp on as he watched the rain patter on the high glass windows.

Ciekawski Kot waited a few beats before stepping into the kitchen, pulled out his phone, and dialed.

"Hey handsome."

"Hey Beautiful. I need a favor."

"Of course, you do, and I am in the market for favors to fulfill. What's up?"

"Do you remember when I started talking to the guy online?"

"You mean the one you wouldn't stop gushing about?"

Ciekawski Kot's ears twinged pink. "Y-Yes. Him. I need you to run his IP address."

"All right. Any particular reason why?"

"I just want to...know him."

"Ever considered waiting until you're not on assignment to do this?" She inquired even as Ciekawski Kot could hear the clicking of keys.

"Actually, no. I suppose I could wait, but you know me."

"Sadly, yes."

"Hey! Rude."

"Calm your tits, babe. All right the IP address is 117.90.048.94."

Ciekawski Kot's eyes widened as his heart pounded in his chest. He knew what the numbers meant. "Oh, fuck me," he ground out mentally kicking himself.

"No can do. I'm taken but you know thanks for-Oh shit!"

Ciekawski Kot tensed immediately but tried to stay calm. "What? What's wrong?" he asked, his tone betraying him.

"It's a wormhole, genius. I should say black hole. Did you know he has his computer walled up with multiple failsafes?"

"Fuck. No, I didn't know that."

"Well until I sort this mess out, you'll have to wait because right now I have nothing for you."

"Fine. Just please keep trying. The screen name is Mischievous_Fox."

Złośliwy Lis lay on his back listening to Ciekawski Kot talking. It wasn't hard to guess what he was doing because he wasn't being discreet. He supposed Ciekawski Kot was oblivious to what he was anyways. He frowned when he heard the screen name. The more he listened, the more his heart sank because it wasn't how things were supposed to go. He was going to take His Tiger out for coffee and treat him. It looked like not everything was going to happen the way he wanted it to. He turned on his side to glance out the window again. He could feel his guard going back up. When he heard Ciekawski Kot walking back into the bedroom, Złośliwy Lis refused to look at him, finally getting up and leaving the room.

Ciekawski Kot, frowned. "Z? What's-where are you going?" his voice laced with confusion.

"Anywhere you're not. I know you don't trust me, but do you have to be so fucking impatient? Can't you just-you know what, actually, if you're going to keep being so impatient good luck finding anything on the laptop. Why don't you text your friend and tell her to give it her best shot?"

Ciekawski Kot tensed. "I-I was just-" he tried to explain.

"Save it. You don't trust me, and you want answers I've said I can't give you right now. So, I'm done." Złośliwy Lis left the room grabbing a drink and headed to the study slamming the door.

Ciekawski Kot swallowed thickly and glanced down at his phone as he quickly sent a text to his contact.

[Der-Bear]
Don't do it.

[Lyds]
Why not?

[Der-Bear]
I...I don't want to lose him.

[Lyds]
Oh hun.

Ciekawski Kot kicked off his shoes, tossed the phone aside and moved to lie down on the bed. He lay on his back staring up at the ceiling as the rain pattered on the high glass windows. He knew he was pushing too hard and that he was risking blowing an operation that, according to Złośliwy Lis, had been going on for four months, but his heart was aching with the need to know.
