On September 4th Harry had the day off, so he suggested we visit the city, I had agreed. he was telling me about this new exhibit they had at the MET and he really wanted to go, so we headed over.
As were walking around, I had barely noticed but Preston, Harrys security guard had quietly had told people to leave the room with the help of museum security, he had spun me to my favorite artwork I had shown him just over a year ago when we first met, he got down on one knee and started tearing up, I looked over and saw him and gasped, there the love of my life was whispering at me "you complete me. I do not want to live in a world, where you are not with me all the time. I want to wake up to you, kiss you goodnight, i want to have children with you for the rest of my life. please will you be my wife?" by the end we were both crying, unable to get a sound out of my mouth I just nodded and jumped into his arms, and as he wrapped me tight, I knew i would be safe with him forever.
Planning the wedding wasn't easy, we had to find date that would work for both of us. he was on tour and I had gone back to school.
The wedding was scheduled in July where the boys had a month off in between the tour. and July was basically the only slot we had since I had off from school. Harry would go back on tour after our honeymoon and I would go back to school. We were still discussing where we would live. My school was based in New York and Harrys work was based in London. I had decided he had made enough sacrifices for me and it was time that I compromise with him. I transferred to University of the Arts London and changed my major to graphic design after a long discussion of what I wanted and what I was interested in, Harry had suggested graphic design, after looking into it , I got really interested in it and settled on that.
In between wedding plans or getting married in London, I had already moved in with Harry, my family would be flying in a week before which made it a whole lot easier since I had missed them so much.
The wedding was wonderful, everything I could have ever dreamed and wanted. I married the love of my life and we were both so incredibly happy. With everyone we loved there, the boys whom I had gotten to be very close with, their families and friends it was glamorous. after the media had finally calmed down that the first member of One Direction had settled down.
We had announced the engagement on Instagram just like when we had announced our relationship. I had told Harry that I think that he still does have a responsibility to his fans, and I wanted to make sure that his fans knew and understood that he was safe with me. his fans had flipped out when our engagement was announced and I knew that there needed to be reassurance, so I had asked the boys for some suggestions on how to let the fans know who I was a bit. Niall suggested a twitcam, given harry had not done a twitcam in a very long time, we had settled on our couch a week after we were engaged, Harry set his laptop on the coffee table and 3 million fans had viewed Harry and I answer questions they sent in, played stupid games while I had tried to change the music every few seconds to something else. they had gotten a glimpse of how great we are together and we felt very good afterwards that we had done what was right.
We spent our 3 week honeymoon in Spain on a very secluded beach which was magical. we were ready to grow together and start our life. we came back to our London home and soon after I had started school already, we had said every teary eyed goodbye to each other as Harry had gone back on tour. I was stressed with school and getting lonely. I had met Nick Grimshaw and all of Harrys London friends on every occasions and while I started getting lonely I had taken Harry's friends as refuges, as I connected immediately with Nick, we giggled and joked together when we first met, so I had spent a lot of my evenings after school while Harry was away at Radio1 studio or at Nick's house. Gemma had come so often to keep me company, we had decided that we just sleepover while harry was away, we had such a fun time together, I figured it was the best idea. Harry came home as often as he could, when he would have 2 days off, he'd rush home no matter where he was on the earliest flight after a show, it was barely a way to maintain a relationship. We made it work.
Tour had ended 2 months later and he was home for a few months with a trip here and the there to LA or some other country on press.
We went home for the holidays to New York, I had missed everyone so much.
It was wonderful, the first holidays married and we were with my family, Harry's family had been bummed that we were in New York for the holidays but they understood, we were there for Thanksgiving and we would return for New Years.
