The sharp blade of a scythe quickly Grazed the Boy's hair, Sending chills down his spine. Quickly, he grabbed the key, turned towards the doorway and ran down the corridor, passing cages of Demons, Angels, Humans, And other unspeakable creatures all hoping and praying to be released, but no sound could be heard from the begging sinners. They knew the consequences. All that could be heard was the sound of the metal scythe Scraping across the floor as it slowly caught up to the child. It was ear piercing.
The boy frantically reached for the door fumbling around in his pockets for the key, his hands shook with fear. A large crash came from behind him, but he dare not look back. He unlocked the door, turning the handle. Yet the sound of the scythe etched its way both down the corridor, and into his mind. It was close, reaching out towards before the boy opened the door and slammed it, locking it shut.
The boy Slouched down against the door. Sitting down holding it shut as if the lock wouldn't be enough to hold it.
...
After what felt like years, the boy stood. As he looked into the room he had just locked himself in. he saw a cage, A red cage, seemingly empty yet... full. Full of life, joy... yet somehow also anger and strife.
A Soul.
