Meeting the parents

It was the day of the game and to say I am nervous was an understatement. I of course was so excited to see Joe and my brother play but I was also meeting Joe's parents. I also found out my parents are going to be there so this should be interesting. The game was at 1:00 and it was currently 10:00 so I decided to start getting ready now so I can pick up Amelia and make it to the stadium on time. I had taken a quick shower when I woke up so right now I was curling my hair in loose waves and decided not to bother with makeup.

It was starting to get really cold here in Cincinnati so I had layers picked out. Once my hair was finished I walked into my room and put on my white turtle neck, bengals crew neck that had Joe on the front and a pair of jeans without holes so my legs don't get cold. I then throw on a knitted hat on my head, I wanted to look somewhat nice since I will be meeting his parents. Throwing on my air forces I grab my purse and phone and head on out. When I get in my car I call Amelia and she answers "Hello my beautiful best friend are you ready to meet the parents?" she asks and I let out a nervous laugh "Oh so ready" I say pulling out of my driveway "I am coming to get you now want to stop and get coffee and breakfast? I think we will need it" I ask driving "You read my mind" Amelia says laughing a bit making me laugh "Ok I'll come and get you then we'll get starbucks"

-At the stadium-

Walking in I am almost shaking and I don't think it's from the coffee. Me and Amelia walk into the club box all of our parents are in. My parents turn to us "Paisleigh! Amelia!" my mom says walking up and hugs us we both hug them and it's kind of weird for me because I haven't talked to my parents since the whole situation with Joe and the ballet thing. My dad walks over and hugs me personally "I'm sorry for always putting your dreams down Pais" he says taking me back but I hug him even tighter "It's ok dad" I say smiling then pull away and look at my mom "Are his parents here?" I ask and she nods and can sense I am nervous "Don't worry they'll love you" I smile and start to walk over and then remember "Mom, dad I want you guys to officially meet Sam's girlfriend" I say wrapping an arm around Amelia smiling and my parents both look shocked "Finally! We have been waiting for this!" my mom exclaims so happily and hugs her. I smile and walk over to Joe's parents my hands are shaking "Mr and Mrs Burrow?" I say walking up and his mom looks at me "Oh you must be Paisleigh! You are even prettier than Joe said!" she says hugging me and taking me by surprise so I just hug back.

His dad looks at me and smiles "Paisleigh please call us Jim and Robin" he says hugging me as well. After talking to them my worries all fade away after realizing how nice they are "Let's get you a drink what would you like Paisleigh?" his dad asks "Oh just a water for now is fine" I say wanting to be respectful as my parents walk over with Amelia "Sandy your daughter is beautiful" Robin says to my mom making me smile "Isn't she? She definitely gets her looks from me" she says laughing making us all laugh "So Paisleigh Joe told us you're a dancer?" Jim asks looking at me "Yeah I am, I'm currently working towards auditioning for Joffrey ballet" I say nervous for how they'll react "Oh I always loved ballet! Have you ever done any big dances?" Robin asks getting excited for me "I have done my studios dances and have always gotten a lead role" I say which amazes them "Wow Sandy you and John must be so proud" Jim says looking at them making me and Amelia look at them as well "We are so proud of her and even more proud of her getting an audition with one of the biggest ballet schools in the country" my dad says smiling just as the game begins.

-After the game-

The Bengals won the game making everyone super happy! I suggested everyone come over for dinner after the game to celebrate so I text the group chat with Joe, Sam, and Amelia.

Hello it's called take out duh!

I look at Amelia "You really doubt my cooking?" I say pulling up into olive garden to pick up my to go order "Well i've never had your cooking so I wouldn't know" she says then I get the food and drive to my house as Joe calls me. Amelia gasps "Awe I get to hear your guys phone conversations" I laugh and roll my eyes answering "Well hello Mr. Star QB" I say and he laughs "Well hello my beautiful girlfriend" he says making me blush "So we're having dinner at your place and I am assuming that meeting my parents went well?" he asks "Oh my god Joe I love them and I think they like me so" I say truthfully "Are you kidding Pais? They were in love with you" Amelia speaks up making me and Joe laugh "I think I'll make it there before my parents so I will see you there in a little bit" Joe says "Ok I love you" I say and he says it back making my smile grow even wider and we hang up as I pull up to my house "Oh my god you're both so cute I can't" she says as we get out and I laugh.

This dinner should be interesting
