chapter 1

"Hollie are you ready." The nurse asked .like I had much of a choice if I wanted a i.v. in ,
"Yah sure". She began to put the needle in I dug my fingenails into the bedsheets underneath me and squeezed my eyes shut. After a year, you would think that I would be used to needles, but no.
I heard a noise and peeked my eyes open to see the nurse getting up to leave .
"All done " the nurse spoke so gently, I hate pity.
Ever since I discovered I had leukemia everywhere I went people looked at me with pity . To me people didn't know how I felt or what it was like.
About 6 minutes later my best friend Rainy showed up .
"Hey Holl's." She spoke with tears in her eyes. "Hey Rains."She gave me a tight hug and sat down .
After I found out I had leukemia I told her first. She was always there and never will leave.
She then wisperd in my ear " I love you Holl's."
" I love you to Rain's" I wisperd back.

For like 3 hours Rain's and i talked about random things like school , friends, food, sleep, llamas, spongebob, etc I could talk about anything with her .
When she stood up "Love ya Holl's see ya tomorrow. " and with that she left .
