She Saved Me?

Afterwards, Danny still had one question to ask Kira. "Hey, how come when I got shot in the head, I didn't die?" he asked. Kira looked alert.
"Well I got to go now." Kira said as she started to walk away. "Wait, where are you going?" Danny asked as he held her shoulder back. "I got to go." Kira said. Then she took off running as fast as she could and turned the corner down the street.
Why did she do that? Although this isn't the first time this has happened.
Danny didn't mind following her because he knew he could never catch up to her. Not in a thousand years.
But how come she ran away as soon as he asked that question?
Something weird was going on. Very weird. And Danny needed to find out what before she went back to the after life. Danny started to run after her, but he had no idea where she went after she turned the corner. So, Danny went where he thought she had gone, even if his instincts were wrong.
After a while Danny started to get tired, so he stopped at a bus stop to take a break from running.
Then Danny started moving again, but this time, he walked. He was still tired but he knew he had to keep going.
Then when Danny got to his apartment, he saw Kira right outside of the building. She was sitting against the wall, staring down at a twig in her hands.
Danny went over to talk to her. "Hey, please tell me why you won't answer my question." Danny asked as he sat next to her, looking worried. "The reason why I didn't answer was because..." she took a long pause before she told him the truth. "Because, I didn't want you to die at all." she continued. "I tried to stop the bullet with my hand. I knew it wouldn't work, but I wanted to anyway. That's why I have this scar on my hand." Kira said as she pointed to her hand. The scar was a circle lighter than the rest of her skin.
Danny was shocked. He never thought she would save him from a bullet.
"That must be why you got yelled at by your dad." Danny said, as he was putting everything together in his mind. "That's also another reason why you wanted to come with me." Danny said.
Danny was flattered that someone saved his life. Danny hugged Kira and in a deep whisper he said "Thank you." Danny looked like he was about to break down in tears. Then, Kira hugged him back and they stayed in that position for a while.
Then, at around 7 o'clock, Kira and Danny went inside to get ready for bed. But before they went to sleep, Kira had to do one more thing. She went over to Danny, and dragged her head closer and closer to Danny's head. She finally kissed him right on the lips for a long time.
After the kiss was over, they both looked at each other. Then they went to their beds, and fell asleep peacefully.
