Day of the Winter Fest...
I was sitting backstage, getting my hair and makeup done. My outfits were super cute and we had to wear a cute Santa hat on stage as well.
Zayn and I had been texting each other quite often during the last week. Mostly it had been to talk about the Winter Fest, but we also sometimes talked about other things.
Then I remembered that I hadn't asked Zayn if he was coming to the after-party tonight so I sent him a quick text. Silly, considering we were like three rooms apart, but moments before performances are so damn busy...
"Nah, not a party guy. Besides Dobby will be waiting for me"
I laughed and shook my head. He was a cat person, just like me.
But it also reminded me that Zayn was indeed not a party guy. I had met him during award shows before, but never during the after-parties.
"Okay Taylor, you're on in 10" said one of the backstage crew members, rushing into the room. "all set?"
"Yep, I'm ready"

I could hear the screams before I could see the crowd, and I was overcome with the pure energy I only get from performing in front of crowds.
Mic in hand, I swallowed once, got into the spotlight and started singing.

"Hello everyone, WELCOME TO WINTER FEST!!!" I yelled after my first song was done. "And next... we have a very special song that I'm so excited to be performing live"
That was when the intro music to I don't wanna live forever started playing and I grinned as I noticed the crowd slowly realising what was about to happen.

Zayn started singing from behind me as he started making his way onto the stage. I couldn't help but look at him at awe. His voice and his presence was everything.
And we started singing together
I don't wanna live forever, cuz I know I'll be living in vain...
The first song went so well and then we duetted on Dusk Till Dawn, which was a complete win considering reactions from the crowd.
The best moment was undoubtedly when Zayn managed to flawlessly belt the high note of Dusk Till Dawn. Even I couldn't help but jump and clap when he did that!
