Dear Mother,
I know your gone forever, but everyday I think of you. You never faded from this world. Your a star that never disappears, and everyone misses you. Even though you will never read this, it feels like you knew it anyway. Anthony is extremely depressed. It seems if I ever remind him of you he ignores me. It seems like he is bipolar, the way he is caring and happy one moment but hates me the next. He misses you mom, more than you know. The world misses you mom, even your sister came to your funeral. Jessica skipped her movie shoot just to see you. It seemed my world paused when you left us. Whatever caused you to do this to you, mom, I am determined to prevent it from happening again. The only question I can ask is how.
~GenevieveGenevieve sighed and folded up her letter. She licked the flap and closed it into an envelope, sealing today's thoughts. She places it under her loose floorboard, along with her other two letters. Three letters. Three days. Seventy-two hours without my mother. Genevieve's eyes darted around, searching for a way to fix her life. Her eyes landed on a pile of mail that her maid left on her dresser. She shuffles over, and searches the contents of the pile. Her eyes finally stop on a thick paper envelope with a fancy scrawl over the face.
Genevieve Crent, of Carolina
She stares at the words, and blesses the world. The selection. The answer to her problems.
"Anthony!" Genevieve exclaims, trying to get her step-dad's attention. He slumps into her room, obviously tired and annoyed.
"What." He growls, sending chills through her body.
"I'm entering the selection."
---•---"Genevieve, you look like a clown." Jack kids, looking at his sister.
"You look like one everyday!" Genevieve laughs, lightly hitting him on his arm. She turns and looks in the mirror, and smiles at her reflection. A light amount of lipstick was applied on her typically red and plump lips. She added minimal eyeliner, and added light eyeshadow. She slightly curled her hair into loose waves, and elongated her eyelashes with mascara. Genevieve turned away from the mirror just in time to see Jacob, Jake, and her step-dad walk around the corner, into her bedroom. Jacob smiled and Jakes jaw dropped. But Anthony just stood there, completely bored.
"Wow." Jacob and Jake mumbled in unison, and they laughed at each other."Anthony, can you drive me or should I ask my maid?" Genevieve asks, trying to sound completely different then her mother.
"Tell your maid to." He snips. "I'm sure Alice would love to go for a drive." He turns on his heals and stomps out. Genevieve grimaces at the noise his shoes made, and she couldn't help being hurt.---•---
"Alice, can you take me to the town hall?" Genevieve asks her maid, quietly. Alice jumps back with a hand over her heart, clearing surprised to be talked to at this time of the day.
"Of coarse, Genevieve! I'm assuming it's for the selection?" Alice asks, rhetorically. Of coarse she knew about it.
"Thanks, Alice. I'll go grab my form." Genevieve says, walking to her room. She laughs when she sees Jack and Jacob, who were digging through her closet for something. "Guys!" Genevieve exclaims. "Who wants to go for a ride to the town hall?" She looks at her brothers bored faces. "I knew you wouldn't. That's why I'll get you cupcakes?" Jack shakes his head, clearly not accepting the bribe. "And ice cream?" She begs, extremely wanting her brothers to come.
"Fine." They mutter together, causing all of us to laugh.---•---
