What A Wonderful Day

Cass' POV

Can I just say that Jay is the cutest thing ever???

He asked me out yesterday. He was so awkward and it was adorable. He was stumbling over his words so much. He tried playing it cool by leaned against the wall but the wall wasn't there so he ended up falling. Of course, I burst out laughing.

"Cass! Tell Nathan that I'm not going out with him!" I heard Ella scream frustratedly from the basement. I think Nathan is teaching Ella some songs right now. El and Bri are at their art class, Siva's calling Jayne and who knows what Max and Tom are doing. I don't think I want to know. As long as they don't destroy the house, then I'm fine with whatever they're doing.

BOOM

I spoke too soon.

Ella's POV

Nathan was teaching me to play some songs when we heard a loud crash. I rolled my eyes then stood up and to the attic where the sound seemed to have come from. Nathan was right at my heels while scurrying to keep up with my quick pace.

There, I saw Max and Tom were fumbling through some of our old and embarrassing videos. I made a dive for my old videos then hugged it to my chest. Max managed to pluck it out of my arms then pushed it into the DVD player.

It was a video of me dancing and singing to a Beatles song. Everyone started laughing. Then I grabbed a picture of all four members of the Beatles then kissed every one of them.

"I love you!" I shouted happily to the picture.

Everyone started laughing even harder. My eyes welled with tears. I wanted to die from embarrassment. I ran out of the attic and straight out the front door.

"Ella!"

I continued running with untiring feet. I felt adrenaline coursing through my body. I swiped at my wet cheeks just as I spotted the woods. I changed my path and ran directly into the woods. I pushed low branches out of my way and jumped over fallen trees.

I finally came to a stop in a small clearing. I collapsed onto the ground then took in my surroundings. All I saw were trees. Then I came to a conclusion.

I was lost.

I took raggedy breaths and tried to stay calm. I remember learning something about finding shelter. I looked at the ground around me. There weren't much twigs lying around and I don't plan on going around and ripping branches off of trees.

I fell to the floor then patted my pockets desperately for something that would be useful. I only found keys to the houses and some wrapped candy.

CRACK

I hopped to my feet then slowly turned in a full circle. I saw a dark shadow growing bigger and bigger as it edged closer.

"Geez you couldn't pick a better place to get lost?"

I nearly cried with relief then ran towards Nathan and pulled him into a bear hug. I then took a small, hesitant step back.

"You know your way back right?"

He didn't answer.

"Nathan."

He looked at me with desperate eyes.

"Then please say that you have your phone."

He smiles then reached into his pocket and took out his phone. I reached for it and turned it on. I pressed on the phone button then punched in Cass' number.

"Nathan?"

"Cass!" I shouted with relief.

"Ell-"

She got cut off. The phone was out of batteries. I sighed then dried my cheeks.

"We need to make a fire."

We spent the next hour just rubbing random stones and sticks together. By luck, Nathan finally managed to get a small fire going.

"Well this is nice." I sighed. I threw another dry stick into the fire. "We need to collect more sticks."

We stood up then walked closely together and picked up sticks. But like I said, there weren't much twigs lying around. So we had to break off some branches. With every branch I snapped, I felt guilty. But we need to keep the fire going if we wanted to get found.

We didn't waddle too far from the fire because help might come along and we wouldn't want to miss that.

We walked back to the fire with arms filled with sticks. I blew on the fire then tossed some sticks in.

"Well we got a fire going. Now what?" Nathan asked curiously I sat down and he followed.

"We wait."

"Go to sleep." He said encouragingly. I shook my head.

"Sleep." He ordered. I sighed then laid down on a bed of leaves. Seconds later, I was asleep.

"ELLA!"

I sat up quickly then saw Nathan glaring at me.

"You slept for ages! I'm exhausted!" He shouted. I made a small frown. What's up with him?

"And now you're sad. Why are you frowning?! You slept for at least 6 hours." He yelled. I sighed then motioned for him to lay down.

"Gladly."

I rolled my eyes as soon as his eyes closed. Some one is a little grumpy when they're tired.

"Ella!"

I jumped to my feet eagerly and screamed.

"Jay! Cass!"

"Shut u-Jay? Cass?"

"Nathan can you relax?!" I yelled then grabbed Cass' hand and stalked off.

Well it's still not that long but it's slightly better right?

I'm sorry. :(
