"Catherine. Hey, wake up. You'll be late."
The first thing I saw as soon as I opened my eyes was Lorenzo's face. I felt like I'm still dreaming at that moment, his face was the first thing that I wanted to see whenever I woke up in the morning. Am I dreaming?
"Morning." he said before he walked out of my room.
Agad akong bumangon sa gulat. So I wasn't dreaming? Nasa harap ko talaga siya?! I glanced at the clock only to see that I am already 10 minutes late.
"The fuuuccckkk!" I groaned before running towards the bathroom to prepare. I have an important meeting with the shareholders today! And my parents texted me that they'll visit!
"Are you done?"
My soul almost left my body when Lorenzo talked. Gulat ko siyang nilingon. "Hindi ka pa umaalis? You're already late!" I exclaimed.
Mas maaga ang pasok niya sa akin kaya alam kong ilang oras na siyang late sa trabaho.
"I don't have an important meeting today. Sabay tayo." aniya.
Hindi pa man ako nakakapag-react nang lumabas na siya. Wala akong magawa kundi ang sumunod sa kaniya! I was so confused and amazed with his actions at the same time.
Is he doing what he's supposed to do? Or doing something unusual? I don't know.
"Dalawang araw ka ng late dahil sa'kin, kaya ko naman na mag-maneho." saad ko habang tinatanaw ang nagtataasang building. Everything here is so advanced. Ang swerte ko dahil ang panahong naabutan ko ay panahon na convenient at accessible na ang lahat ng bagay. Unlike before, according to my parents, that everything is manually operated.
They have different modes of transportation. Malls, buildings, parks, hospitals, as in everything. Minsan ay namamangha ako kahit pa araw-araw kong nakikita ang lugar na ito.
"It's fine. Hindi naman problema kung late ako, problema kapag na-aksidente ka kapag pinilit mong mag-maneho." he shrugged.
Nilingon ko siya pagkatapos niyang sabihin iyon. He doesn't look like he was joking about that which made my heart beat crazily because of him.
"Why? Don't you want to enjoy my wealth? Kapag nawala ako, sa'yo mapupunta lahat ng pera ko." I joked. Ibinabalik ko lang ang sinabi niya noon.
