"....You didn't," she stated, staring at the scene before her. "Oh, I did... I so very much did..." Kellen huffed, laying in the hospital bed, mona and alexander to his right, mona crying over him. "What stunt was it?" she said. Katie's voice trembled at her questions as Alexander pipped up "20K worth if he did it...set his bike on fire and jump over the trucks" he shook his head. "How was it different this time" she snapped at him. "Someone messed with his bike" he looked down, then back at Katie. "I'm sorry," Kellen spoke " I wanted a better life for us, not leave us in debt" he held out his only hand, and she took it, looking into her brother's eyes. "I wanted a better life for you Kat" he let tears fall down his only un-bandage eye "this is going to cost us a fortune to pay" he pulled Katie into him, hugging her; his grasp on her made her see his pain the things he's lost his arm even likely his eye the scar- tissue where skin used to be leaving a hurt man where Kellen used to be. Katie embraced her brother, crying into his now-only arm. "Luckily you still got the money Kellen" Alexander looked embarrassed, saying, " you wont have much extra but enough for the bills" Kellen turned to face him, "it's not enough to keep the apartment."
