the spider and the spirit

The night was cold with a little bit of light coming from the moon shining through the curtains. Sky alias Redback hums a tune while stirring her tea after a long mission. Those little good for nothing bastards almost got her if it wasn't for an undying soul who came to help her. The spy recalls the memory in triumph.

It's raining hell storm with lighting striking once in a while before the clock struck midnight. Redback who is Sky, has been successfully getting past the guards unsighted. Now, all that is left is to do is to get into the room her target she's assigned to kill is in. it's a greedy businessman that scams his clients including her own and they want their revenge. It's a simple task but it seems like these people have all kinds of weapons for this man. Pathetic.
Redback causes a distraction for the guards to get alerted and step away from the doors to check up on the commotion. She slips into the room and shuts the door silently unnoticed by anyone around. At least that's what she thought ...

"ah, if it isn't the famous Redback."

Lighting strikes, it's reflection appearing off the glass walls as the spy gets startled by the sudden deep voice and quickly turns around to see three guards standing around with smug faces as they caught her red handed.

"Yeah, it is. Now, do you mind getting out of the way? I have a business to do." She replies

"No can do, we all know what you're here for."

"And what is that I may ask?" She asks

"You're here for Mr Kane so you could kill him."

"Oh wow you all must be really smart to figure that out, now aren't you?" She replies with a tone full of sarcasm

"Enough with the games, drop your weapons!" The man with the deep voice earlier yells

"And why would I want to do that?"

"Drop it or we'll have to do this the hard way."

"I might prefer that."

With that, Redback charges towards one of the guards and throws a punch completely wiping off the smug look off his face and kicks him away when he drops down.

Another guard charges towards her trying to hit her but she easily blocks his constant poor attempts and kicks him in the nuts. Now more guards starts piling up in the room and all of them tries to strike her in an attempt to stop the spy but they all failed with Redback defeating them all because of the lighting bolts reflecting off the glass walls, making them hard to concentrate. Blood started spilling from all the killing and fighting which isn't her favourite part since it leaves a mess and they weren't even her targets.

Now a lot of the guards are on the floor. Some are still standing in sheer fear from her unstoppable strength. She's getting a little bit tired from all this workout but it will all be worth it in the end.
While taking out some of the guards, one of them managed to tase her but she managed to not go unconscious.

Redback groans from the force as she drops to her knees on the floor trying to regain energy.

"We don't need to do anymore fighting Shadow, it's obvious that you're getting tired so why don't you just drop your weapons and this will all be over. And we don't lose anymore of us." The guard from earlier deadpan.

Shadow thinks about what to do and gives in. In quick movements, she tosses her dagger to the dark black shadows. It's quite surprising that she killed all those guards with only one dagger given that she's a spy and they usually hold many weapons, but that didn't stop the smug faces to appear on the guard's faces again and Shadow secretly smirks knowing they don't know what's about to come.
