There was once a girl who lived by the lake, in a little beaver's den. She was known to others as Willow. Willow only ever saw humans when they came to the lake for a camping trip. Her only friends were the little silver fish in the lake.
One day, people came to take Willow away. They brought her to the nearby town, where she was put to work in a bakery. Willow's job was simply bake the plain bread, for it was the only thing she did well, and very well did she do it. The bread was always crisp on the outside and soft, fluffy and sweet on the inside.
But never did Willow cease to think about her beaver's den by the lake and the silver fish waiting for her back there. So when the day came, Willow ran away.
She ran to the lake, but when she looked back, people were pursuing her, telling her to come back. And so, Willow threw herself into the lake and was never seen again.
