"Happy graduation, my love."


I happily greeted him as we both threw away our caps. I saw the happiness in his eyes as we both yelled in joy. Tumalon ako at niyakap siya.


"I'm so proud of you... I'm so proud of us." He kissed the side of my head as he hugged me back. "I wouldn't... No, not I. We wouldn't reach this if it weren't for your sacrifices."


I smiled. "Our sacrifices."


Kung hindi namin piniling lumaban, siguro wala 'to ngayon. If we both chose to just give up... all of this wouldn't exist. We fought together, and now we're here... Kami pa rin, hanggang sa huli.



Years passed, and we became stronger. Mas kinakaya na namin ngayon ang problemang dumarating sa amin. Minsan, nagkakaroon ng small fights pero hindi matatapos ang araw na hindi kami magbabati.


"Love," he called me. "What do you think of marriage?"


Napatigil ako sa tanong niya. I looked at him and he was just staring at me, waiting for my answer.


"I'm fine with it... Ready na naman ako." I answered.


He smiled. "Do you want us to get married already?"


Nanlaki ang mga mata ko. "H-Ha...? Ngayon?"



He took out something from his pocket. "I can't wait any longer, Love... I want to spend every second of my life with you. I want to grow old with you... I want to be the person you would see first when you wake up. I want to be with you through your good and bad days. Gusto kitang makasama hanggang sa huli..."



Naluha agad ako nang bigla siyang tumayo at lumuhod sa harap ko. I covered my mouth when he suddenly showed a box and opened it. There was a silver ring inside. Infinity ang shape n'on tapos may maliit na diamond sa gitna.


"Are you willing to spend the rest of your life with me? Hanggang sa huli?"


Tumango ako. "Yes, Oliver. I will spend the rest of my life with you. Hanggang sa huli."


He put the ring on my pinky finger and stood up. He held my cheek and gently caressed it. I closed my eyes when his face started getting closer to me.


I opened my eyes again when I didn't feel Oliver's touch anymore. When I opened my eyes, wala na siya. Lumingon ako sa paligid, hinahanap siya.


"Oliver?" Paghahanap ko sa kanya.


"Naya!"


Nagising ang kaluluwa ko nang marinig ang pangalan ko. I looked around and saw that I was inside my room. Clara was beside me, looking worried.


"Okay ka lang?" nag-aalalang tanong niya sa akin. Inabutan niya ako ng tubig at uminom ako. "Anong nangyari?"


"Nasaan si Oliver?" paghahanap ko ulit kay Oliver.


Napatigil siya. "Naya..." hinawakan niya ang kamay ko. "What do you mean by that? Oliver's already gone... matagal na."


That's when it all snapped. It was just a dream... All that happened was a dream. It was all just inside my head.


This is the reality.


He's already gone.


Hindi kami umabot hanggang sa dulo... Hindi namin natupad ang pangako namin sa isa't-isa na hanggang sa huli.


Ngayon ko lang naintindihan... Ngayon lang nag-sink in sa akin.


Hindi para sa amin ang hanggang sa huli... Kundi hanggang sa muli.


Dahil handa kong hintayin siya hanggang sa magkita kami ulit. Hanggang sa... muli.
