''Laswell- find Café Gracht. Something's about to go down,'' Captain Price announced sternly, looking down at the glowing phone.
''When?'' Laswell's voice questioned.
''One hour...''
Kyle Gaz Garrick and Captain Price were instructed to reform themselves at the nearby hotel before continuing with the mission. There wasn't much time left before something dangerous would occur. Gaz's swimsuit had partially dried by the time they got to the hotel, so that didn't leave much time to breathe.
''John, you there?'' Laswell's voice called out just as Gaz and Price had entered their shared room.
''Yes. Talk to me,'' Price replied, sitting on the bed.
''You two know how much I trust you with this,''
''Wouldn't want it any other way,''
''Precisely why I'm trusting you with one of my agents, the best of my soldiers to accompany you on this mission,'' Laswell continued, taking a short pause between speaking further, as she knew Price would have something to add.
''One of yours? Why?'' he asked, his tone unsure of her motives.
''Just for safety. As I said - I know you two can handle it... but we don't know what's ahead of us or what they might be armed with,'' she explained. ''And since we have to do this quietly... there's no one I'd rather give this steering wheel to.''
Price remained silent and shared a look with Gaz.
''Who's the man for the job?'' he questioned, sitting on the bed.
Gaz could practically imagine Laswell's smirk as she continued speaking.
''The best woman for the job is Elena. Elena Morgan,'' Laswell answered. ''Goes by Ibanez.''
Price and Gaz immediately shared a look, much more curious now.
''She's one of my best. She was already informed of your mission today-''
''What?'' Price questioned cooly. ''You told-''
''She was the one who cracked the Amsterdam part, John. I'd put some respect on Elena's name...'' Laswell almost barked back but remained her cool tone. ''We're only this far because of her. She's... more than just a soldier to me.''
''All right...'' was all that Price said. ''I'm sorry.''
''I'm sure Elena would accept that too,'' Laswell replied.
Gaz was starting to play with his shoes, the excitement in his body taking over the best of him. He wanted to know exactly who this super soldier was, working so close with Laswell, already aware of their every move. He had a dozen questions already about a person whose existence he was informed of only a minute ago.
