More Dreams, Lies, and Secrets

A scream of fear and pain tore through the quiet night. A huge, beast-like, figure clawed and bit at an old, white haired man. His screams filled the school bus that he had been driving only a few hours earlier.

The dark figure paused for a moment and lifted its monstrous head to let out a loud, monstrous howl, before turning back to the old man. A few minutes later, another, smaller figure showed up, slowly entering the school bus. This figure looked more human than the big dark mass that was attacking the bus driver.

The smaller figure paused, his glowing dark yellow eyes taking in the scene, before he rushed forward and grabbed onto the outstretched hand of the old man. He attempted to pull the old man free of the claws that had a hold of him, digging into his legs, but did not have much luck.

The beast growled in warning, but the smaller figure continued to try and pull the old man free. When the beast realized that the yellow eyed figure wasn't going to back off, it slashed at him, digging its claws into his chest. The smaller figure pulled back, releasing the older man's hand and letting out a yelp of pain. The beast proceeded to step over his victim, leaving him crying and whimpering. It attempted to pounce on the smaller figure, who quickly backed away, just barely missing getting shredded by the beast's claws.

The beast growled at the yellow eyed figure again, before turning and going back to the old man, who had been attempting to drag himself to the door at the back of the bus, which had been practically torn off its hinges and bent back by the beast. The smaller figure made an attempt to get to the old man and help him again, but the beast stopped him, this time digging its claws into the smaller figure's chest, and throwing him back to the front of the bus. He crashed into the front of the bus, a groan of pain escaping from his lips.

The small figure pushed himself up, his yellow eyes meeting the blood red ones of the beast. The red eyed beast snarled and leaped at him, but he quickly darted down the steps of the school bus, shoving himself through the doors and running towards the woods that surrounded the school. The beast watched as the smaller figure disappeared, its red eyes narrowing in anger and annoyance. It looked back at the old man, who had finally passed out from the pain, and ambled back over to where he lay. It sniffed at him, before exiting the bus through the destroyed back door.

Before the beast left the bus parking lot, it looked back at what it had done, morphing into a man at the same time. A chilling smile, one full of malice and a promise of more pain, appeared on his features. His light blue eyes completed the look, full of anger, and the promise that the killing was far from over.

Crystal shot up in her bed, strands of her blonde hair sticking to her sweaty forehead as she gasped for breath, struggling to calm herself down. She shoved her constricting blankets away from her and swung her legs over the side of her bed. Crystal sat there, her shoulders hunched and her hands resting on the edge of her bed, struggling to regain control of her breathing.

She managed to calm herself down just as her bedroom door opened and light flooded the room. Ash and their mom entered the room, immediately rushing to Crystal, who was surprised to see them.
