The book in Wanda's hands, Shakespeare's The Two Gentlemen of Verona , was very immersive, it could keep anyone reading for hours. However, as much as she tried to keep her focus, the noise of the guitar coming from Pietro's room was louder than her ears could handle. The noise was so loud that it was impossible to muffle her ears with her hands or even with some cotton. Wanda's head was almost turning the book into a Broadway show, until she reached the last page of the book, which ended coincidentally, along with her brother's solo.

Wanda left the book on the table, writing down in her notebook some important points of the plot and the characters. No, this was not summer work or anything like that, but rather a method of feeding her own knowledge. However, it wasn't just for that either. Two knocks on the bedroom door and the sound of the door being opened made Wanda look back. Pietro was standing there, leaning on the wall outside, all dressed up like a punk: in a leather jacket, a T-shirt with a printed Mexican skull, ripped skinny jeans, boots, and a red bandana around his neck. If there was one thing he always had, it was a sense of style, even if it was his style.

" Hey, princess, I'm going downtown to meet some friends of mine. Since I know it's your day to pick up books at the library, you want a ride? " He spoke giving a friendly smile.

Pietro was not only Wanda's twin brother, but also her best friend. Their father told, that this connection had been going on since their mother's uterus. When they were born, they hugged each other and only cried when they were separated by the doctors. Pietro and Wanda always shared their secrets with each other, that's why he knows how important the library is to her.

" Give me 10 minutes, I'm just going to change. " She said already getting up, Pietro then smiled and closed the bedroom door.

Wanda undid the bun in her hair and headed for her closet. She changed clothes quickly, from her friendly sweatshirts to a red dress with a low back and small heels. She picked up her purse, her cell phone on the table, and the book she had just finished reading. She put on some perfume and looked in the mirror, finished her hair trying to make a natural hairstyle. Three knocks on the door, it was Pietro's signal saying: " your time is up ". Wanda went to the door and Pietro was leaning on the wall pretending to be asleep, she then tapped his belly and made him laugh. They went downstairs and towards the living room door.

" Where do you guys think you're going? " The voice of Irina, mother of the twins, made them stop automatically, Pietro already had his hand on the doorknob.

' Damn, damn .' Wanda thought.

" We're going out together, my queen. Sibling stuff. " Pietro said with a gallant smile that undid the woman's heart.

Irina smiled at Pietro and as she looked at Wanda she made a serious expression.

" Wanda, don't forget that the Mayor with his family is coming to have dinner with us, I want you as tidy as you are now, no funny business this time. " The woman spoke, soon turning and heading toward the kitchen.

Wanda sighed loudly and made mention of following her mother, but Pietro grabbed her arm with his hand, pulling her back. Wanda looked at his face, and he just shook his head in denial. Pietro took Wanda out of the house, leading her toward the car, which she got into the passenger's side and let out a long sigh. Pietro got into the driver's side and looked at Wanda, holding back a laugh.

" She hasn't figured out that Steve is gay yet, has she? " Wanda spoke up and looked at her brother, "Damn, I'm going to have to stand for one more night like this."

" You're going to be first lady, honey. " He forced his voice to be similar to the mayor's son, which made her laugh.

Steve Rogers, son of the Mayor, was very good at hiding his sexuality, but it didn't take away from the fact that he hooked up with Wanda's best friend. Wanda's family and even Steve's parents never suspected, or maybe they just didn't want to believe it.
