Chapter 17

AGNES' POV

Today was not a good day.

The bank robbery was today.

I'm glad I'm not going.

Camp was pretty much empty because most people was robbing the fucking bank.

The only people who returned was Abigail and Charles.

What the fuck.

Sadie and I looked at each other.

"Where the hell is everyone?"
I questioned.

Abigail looked like she'd been crying.

"Hosea and Lenny are dead"
Charles informed.

I held in my tears.

Shit.

Both of them?

"I knew this was a bad fucking idea, where the hell is that asshole Dutch?"
I snapped.

"Dutch, Arthur, Javier, Micah and Bill got on a Boat, it was there only way out of the city"
Charles explained.

"You've got to be kidding me"
I sighed.

"I just go from one doomed gang to another"
I scoffed.

"Agnes you need to calm down, we need to leave before Pinkerton's show up"
Sadie demanded.

"Like I give a shit anymore"
I shrugged.

I didn't speak much till we got to the new camp which was Lakay.

We wasn't much of a gang though.

Just people.

The only wanted person here was me.

Possibly Charles too but I'm pretty sure his face hasn't been spotted.

Most of the gang or what remained of us was in one of the house's in this swamp.

I sat on a chair nearby one of the other house's, I didn't feel like striking up a conversation with anyone and I think everyone else agreed.

Nobody was in a good mood.

Not in the slightest.

I'd also heard John got arrested.

If we didn't get him out soon he'd definitely be killed.

We'd already lost too many people.

"Er Agnes?"
Kieran questioned.

"Hello"
I smiled.

"Is everything ok? You've been sat here for hours"
Kieran stated.

It's been hours?

"I'm fine"
I lied.

I got up and brushed the dirt off me.

I felt Arms around me and was thankful for Kieran's embrace.

"Er I don't know where we are going to sleep"
Kieran admitted.

I looked at him confused.

"There's not enough room for us"
Kieran informed.

"I'm sure the back of a trailer will suffice for now"
I shrugged.

Kieran nodded in response.

The back of the trailer wasn't the most comfortable spot but oh well.

It was oddly private though.

I began changing out of my clothes into my night clothes.

"Should I wait till you've finished or do you want me that stay?"
Kieran asked.
