"What did you even see in him?" Lucifer had his eyes closed while meticulously thinking. This thing wasn't in the right state of mind, but who could've blamed her? After being in a situation where you're stuck in the hands of a psychopath and actually enjoyed it, it was hard to help someone like that.
"I'm- not sure.. he just helped me when I really needed it and I sorta owed him one." The girl kept her eyes on Lucifer, the devil himself, or at least the latest one she's met. This one felt different than the one she was familiar with. Despite being much smaller in size and a whole less threatening, she felt safer with this Lucifer. She had a feeling this Lucifer would be a better one than her Lucifer either that or the voices were in her head again. She was never able to successfully get them out of her head, but recently they've been a lot tamer- quieter even. "
The demon opens one eye and quietly studies her face when she responded. He was intrigued, but nonetheless cautious. The last time she 'overreacted' she broke 12 windows, 5 doors, 8 light fixtures, and broke half of the things belonging in Lucifers room. "And for how long did you have those voices in your head for, Cecilia?"
Cecilia opened up her hand and began using her fingers to start counting, or that's what it appeared to look like. After a good minute she paused and gave a simple shrug. "I dunno... I guess after I almost got sacrificed to a cult. He found me running around wild in the woods, almost to the brink of death." Cecilia would chuckle quietly to herself as she shook her head gently. "I couldn't find my way out and eating random berries in the forest did not do me any good.
There'd be a prolonged moment of silence. The silence that makes you hide in your hoodie from how bad it is. Cecilia looks up at Lucifer wit a puzzled look and her eyes widen slightly. "Lucifer..?"
Upon further examination, Lucifer had a troubled look on his face after hearing Cecilia's monologue. "What do you mean a cult... what did they want? What did they do to you?" He spoke quickly and coldly, he tilted his head to the side to avoid eye contact with her.
"Since when were you the nosy type?" said Cecilia, tilting her head out of curiousity.
"Just curious. Cults are... touchy subjects."
"Why"
"Why should I tell you?" Lucifer spoke with a glare.
"Well, you don't have to.. after all I'm just curious.""Did you just-" He paused on his sentence before letting out a sigh. "Fine. I'll tell you anything you want about me as collateral then. That way I find out your correlation to the occult and you find out more about me." Lucifer knew what he was getting himself into with this deal, but he was curious to figure out what Cecilia would ask for and the truth.
"Origin."
Lucifer gained a confused expression, not knowing if he heard her right. "Excuse me?"
"I want to know your origin story. You looked distressed when I mentioned me with cults, so chances are something happened with a cult that got you shaken up like that. Now it's become my personal problem to figure out what the ruck happened to you and odds are it probably came from how you became yourself."
She's not as dumb as she looks, Lucifer thought. It was certainly a shock for her to be so inquisitive over his backstory, but yet again he wasn't completely surprised. "is that what you really want? I gotta warn you, it isn't pretty."
"Yeah no shit Sherlock you are the devil. I'm not expecting some pretty pretty princess fairy tale story unless that's what you're into." Cecilia smirks at him before laughing loudly at Lucifers impending reaction.
"WHAT?! The fuck do you think I'm into?!" said Lucifer, quickly getting enraged at the thought.
Cecilia mindlessly shrugged as her smirk dropped with an innocent smile forming. "Guess we'll never know unless you get a move on with that story."
Lucifer blankly stared at Cecilia with a defeated expression. Sure Tibicore can be annoying at times, but she was pressing all of his buttons. Normally he wouldn't have cared but now that Cecilia is under his protection, he's forced to keep her alive. Unfortunately this conversation was bound to happen, so he thuoght the sooner this conversation occurred, the better.
With a flick of his hands, a glowing vermilion book fell to Lucifer's hands. "Since you're asking for it, and actions are better than words, I'm going to have you witness it first hand." As he spoke, the pages in the book would flip rapidly on their own.
Cecilia noticed that the book had 'L. Morningstar' ingraved on the spine in cursive. For a moment she questioned whether or not Lucifer could write in cursive, prompting her to get distracted in the contemplation on whether or not he was smart enough to read cursive. The feint sound of fingers snapping could be heard before she zoned back to reality.
Lucifer yelled her name a number of times before stopping when noticing her attention was reverted. "Were you even listening to what I was saying?"
"Uhhh...yes."
"Really."
"Mhm."
"What did I just tell you?" Lucifer spoke with a raised brow, crossing his arms while his hand held the book down.
"That you...think cursive is for pussies."
"....are you serious?"His brows dull as he stares at her in utter shock. The least she could do is at least pay attention to what he was doing. Lucifer questioned if she realizes what's going to happen, or at least comprehend what type of situation she's in. He dismissed whatever he was now thinking before finding the spell he was looking for. "Forgetting you just said that, I found the spell."
This wasn't what Cecilia was expecting to come out of her Tuesday afternoon. From what she understood, which wasn't much, they were going to spectate his life? "Do we need to do anything?" She had a hint of nervousness as she spoke. How could he be so certain this would work? What would happen if the voices came back and messed with her mind? "How long will this take, Lucifer?"
He glances up at her quietly as he was about to read off the spell. "Depends on how long you want to stay. I can take us back at any given time, but keep in mind that we made this deal so I can find out about you."
"Right..." As Cecilia thought back of this idea, Lucifers voice would get quieter and distant. She felt herself slowly drift off as her body felt weak and heavy. For a moment she could've sworn she was next to Lucifer and that she was sitting on a concrete floor, but her last few moments of sight left her with in absolute nothing.
