The sun set, glistening against the waves of the deep blue. It was time, his sweet love would awaken soon. Namor laid down his paintbrush, as he walked to the end of his temple. There laid a woman, sleeping peacefully in his cot. Her snores were so quiet he had to silence the sea to hear them. Namor's heart swelled, seeing her in his cave, within his temple.

He loved this woman, his life had changed the day he met her, rather stumbled upon her. A smile edged its way around his lips, she was so different from anyone he had ever met. So new. He sat beside her, fingers going through her silky strands of hair. Such an enchanting color, he hadn't seen someone with such a striking color before. As if on cue she woke up, her eyes fluttering open lightly.

She jolted up, again as usual. Before relaxing and grabbing his hand. He didn't know why she always woke up in such panic, he never asked. She knew he wanted to, she saw the concern in his eyes and the trouble in his brows. She just leaned into his palm, unwilling to speak for the moment. He opened his mouth to say it, beg her to tell him who had scared her so deeply.

But he knew she wouldn't tell him. So instead he climbed into the cot, and pulled her into his chest. His arms wrapped around her form tightly, scared it would happen again. But he was here this time, and no one would touch Y/n ever again. It all started when they first met, he saw the fear in her eyes when she woke up. At first he thought it was his presence. He couldn't deny it hurt his heart.

But he had been late one day, and saw her react the same. Y/n was nocturnal, like her fox counterpart. It didn't matter to Namor, no. Because day and night were no different in Talokan. But even under layers and layers of deep sea, her body knew when it was time. "In yakunaj." He said, nuzzling into her neck."Who did it?" Her ear perked up, "Did what?" His hand tilted her chin to face him. "Who scared you so deeply?" Y/n was a great liar. It was her whole job. Kitsunes were the troublemakers of Asia. They always were.

Whether it be to take an empire down, or fool the common man. "I'm not exactly used to waking up a thousand feet under the sea yet. Maybe I need to spend a few more nights here." She smiled, snuggling into her cloth pillow. He hummed,"You do not need to lie to me. I find you just as enchanting without your illusions, you need to know that." His hand reached for her scalp again, this time beginning to massage a special spot. He heard her purr, as her hand shakes to stop him. But it seemed like her body wouldn't listen enough for it to stop him.

And just like he wanted, a mist the flavor of nectar hit his face. Now two pointy fox ears laid on her head, while he felt 9 fluffy tails wag under the blankets. Namor knew how to get her form to peek out, he loved that he could do it. The way her body reacted to his own. They were perfect together, he knew it. He kissed her neck, along the side of her mask. He hasn't seen her without it. The design was special to her culture, her people. A fox, a sly one at that. That matched just about 80% of Y/n.

She played with him, made him feel like a little boy again. He always found himself chasing after her. A king who had everything- suddenly needed something just a finger away. She didn't care he was a king, she had met plenty. She had toppled just as much. "Do you enjoy sleeping in my home?" Namor asks, "Well- you're here too aren't you?" She cupped his face. Her hands were dark, dipped in ink. Fox markings. She was different from her sisters. More primal, uncontrolled. While common elements of Kitsune consisted of Wind, or Spirit- she had the recessive trait. Fire.

"I am." He said, listening to every tune in her voice. "I like listening to the waves. It's- comforting to hear you busy at work in there." she slept knowing her favorite fish was at peace just as much as her, just in the room next door. She ruffles his hair, "I can sleep knowing you're not off declaring war on a guy who looked at the sea wrong." He knew what she meant, she was content with his safety."You will never haft to worry for me, querido. I have a strong kingdom, strong allies, and a strong fox at my side." he scratched her chin with the back of his hand.
