May, 2041. Some time has passed since The Failed Mission at Coruscant. Jay never forgave himself for not saving Kalifia and his apprentice. He remembered what Mollbry did to him after Jeffian's death and slowly recovered, following her teachings. During that time, Mara Jade finally met Luke Skywalker and began fast friends. 

Some time later, Luke and Han went out on patrol on Tauntauns, just as an Imperial Star Destroyer dispatched probe droids on Hoth. Thinking they were meteorites, Luke tells Han he will check it out. But, it wasn't to be. He was attacked and knocked unconscious by a deadly Wampa. Back at Echo Base, Han returned; but not Luke. Knowing he is danger, he mounted a Tauntan and rode out to find him, despite an encroaching storm. Mara Jade did the same, but on a BARC Speeder. While she was out, she let the Force be her guide to find Luke. She soon found him, as he exited the Wampa's cave. They attempt to get on her BARC Speeder, but the same Wampa destroyed the BARC Speeder and attacked. Mara countered and killed the Wampa and made their way to Echo Base on foot. Suddenly, they found themselves lost in the blizzard. Luke collapses in the snow, due to the attack done by the Wampa. Mara prop up Luke and tried to keep him warm. Suddenly, he sees the Force spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi appear before him and Mara. Kenobi's spirit ghost instructs Luke to go to Dagobah to undergo training under Yoda, a Jedi Grand Master. After the spirit ghost disappears, Han arrives to find Mara Jade and an almost unconscious Luke, who is mumbling indistinctly about Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Dagobah. The next morning, The Rebels dispatch two T-47 Airspeeders who found Han, Luke and Mara and brought them back for treatment. Mara got some warm food to warm her up and Luke is put in a bacta tank for healing under the care of medical droid, 2-1B. Then, scans picked up a signal from an Imperial Droid, who sent intel to The Empire that The Rebels are on Hoth before self destructing. It was time for The Rebels to evacuate and prepare for battle. With The Empire on it's way, The Rebels began to load their ships with whatever equipment they can onto transports and plan a rear-guard action to secure their escape. Mara Jade and Luke, now fully recovered from the Wampa attack and subsequent exposure, says farewell to Chewbacca and Han, who have decided to leave the Alliance to resolve their debt to Jabba the Hutt. Jay was organizing his legion for battle. Senth Platoon, now Senth Brigade, was formed as a rear guard, alone with other Rebel & Allied Units. Hearing the sounds of AT-ATs drawing closer towards The Rebels lines, The Rebels and Allies got into positions. During that time, Rebel and Allied transports got through Imperial Star Destroyers, thanks to The Republic Freedom Fighters Fleet and Ion Cannons on Hoth. The ground troops began firing on The Imperial Troops and Starfighters focus on the AT-ATs and AT-STs. Jay told Jec to slowly pull troop out and move to the transports, which he does. Suddenly, Luke's speeder is shot down by the Imperials, and crash-lands in the snow. Luke escapes before an AT-AT can step on and crush his ship. His gunner, named Dak Ralter, was hit and killed during the first approach to take down an AT-AT. Jay told Juchi to come with him and told Jec and all Legion Officers to fall back, just as Echo Base was invaded by Imperials. He learned that Jar Wolffee, Bullseye, Hera & The Matthias Brothers are inside and are staying with Leia and the others. He signaled Sev, his astromech, which is named R5-P76, to prepare his starfighter. He also told Juchi's astromech, a reprogrammed Imperial Astromech, named R2-T18, to prepare Juchi's Y-Wing, which Jay gave to her for her eighteenth birthday. Jay gave her lessons on flying an Y-Wing and many other ships, should she lose one. Back on Earth, after hearing about The Battle of Hoth, President Lyons send Master Windu, Alex, Keeve, Echore and Mollbry, and their clone units, to the front.

Rushing towards the hangar, and cutting down a few Imperials, Jay and Juchi reached their ships and blast off, just as Stormtroopers, led by Yachi Renohana, breached the hangar. Around the same time, The Millennium Falcon took off and away from Hoth. Seeing Luke and Mara Jade boarding their X-Wings, They linked up and made their way to Dagobah. Once they arrived, Jay, Juchi & Mara Jade landed safely. But, Luke, on the other hand, did not. He landed in the swampy waters and nearly lost R2 to a Dragonsnake. They soon set up camp before setting out to find Yoda. "Now, all we have to do is find this Yoda." Luke began, after plugging in R2. "If he even exists." "He does exist." Jay said. "I can feel his presence here." What Jay didn't tell Luke and Mara Jade is that he was on Dagobah before for his training under Qui Gon. He won't tell him and Mara until the end of the war and the destruction of The Empire. "Really?" Luke asked. "Well, this is one strange place to find a Jedi Master. This place give me the creeps." "Have you been here before, Master Jay?" Mara Jade asked. Jay, hiding the truth from them said "No, This is my first time here." As they talk, Luke sensed someone watching him and pulled out his blaster at the creature who was watching him. What he and Mara doesn't know that creature is Yoda. Yoda, at the moment, enter the camp begins to fiddles around with Luke's gear. Jay couldn't help but crack a smile and give a small chuckle, which it reminded him of his days at the temple where Master Yoda would play and joke around with him and the other Younglings. Mara stopped Yoda and tells him that we are here looking for a Jedi Master, which Yoda offers to take them to The Jedi Master. Instead of taking them to The Jedi Master, Yoda to them to his hut. Luke insists on going to find Yoda immediately, but the small creature only responds with "Not far. Yoda not far." The diminutive figure then declares the boy lacks patience, but the voice of Kenobi tells the figure that the boy will learn patience if he is to be trained. Only then does Luke and Mara realize that the small green figure is Yoda. Jay comes clean to Luke saying that Yoda was his master before Master Windu. Yoda asks Kenobi if he will finish whatever training he begins, then suspects that Luke will someday succumb to fear. Then, Yoda agrees to train Luke and Mara. For many days, Luke and Mara was taught the ins and out of Lightsaber Combat and in The Ways of The Force. Despite the missions he has been on, he is making good progress. Jay and Juchi helped them in Lightsaber Combat and Force training. But, there were two problems related to Luke's training. One of the problems was at The Dark Side Cave, the same cave that Jay went in and saw visions of the future. When Luke entered, when he was instructed NOT to use his weapon, he had a vision of himself angrily confronting Darth Vader and beheading him. However, the severed head's mask bursts apart and reveals Luke's face with a scared look underneath; a warning for Luke that if he battles Vader with no emotional control, he will become Vader himself, seduced by the Dark Side. The First Lesson ended in failure.
