Chapter Ten

Chapter Ten - Ashley's POV

Officially two full weeks have gone by since I was taken in by the Thistle Moon Pack. Each time I see Alpha Gordon, Samantha's father, I feel so small and realise how weak I really am, I can even tell that Chelsea is thinking about him wanting me gone and I feel like hope won't save me at all. However, I have been getting better, every day I get plenty of food, I get taken care of and helped with being able to speak again after not having my voice in so long.

On the other hand, most of the pack now know that I am Chelsea's mate and to say most don't like me very much not because of what pack I really came from but due to not having my wolf, they think that I will bring this pack down to their knees and make them all weak like myself if Chelsea keeps me around. It hurts but I am used to it or so I think I am.

Currently, I was sitting in front of this woman named Tresea who was the one teaching me to speak again. She was the only one I spoke about the possible Alpha Command that was placed on me to not speak that could be the real reason why I wasn't able to speak "Take a deep breath and try again" She pointed to the word Hello, it's that simple.

"Hell... o" I said through many struggles, but I was getting somewhere, I was getting closer to being able to say something at least. "That's good, try putting the hell and o together this time, no pausing. I want you to really put in the effort, I know you can say hello before the end of this session" She smiled towards me. I nodded my head at her and took a shaky but deep breath.

I was about to speak when the door was knocked on, I glanced behind me and saw Chelsea standing there "How is she doing?" She questioned while glancing at us both with a small smile plastered on her face as she looked mainly at me.

"She is improving, even if it's been two days, she is trying and getting somewhere. I highly believe she will be talking in no time, at this moment she may struggle as she isn't used to her voice and because she hasn't spoken in a very long time, it may come across as if she is learning again but that's all I can do for her at this moment to help" She explained mainly towards Chelsea so she understands what's happening.  "Okay, for tomorrow's session, I want you to come in with a big hello, okay?" I nodded my head at her while getting up and Chelsea thanked the woman before taking me out.

My knee is much better, it has healed a lot though it still hurts a bit and is a bit of a struggle to walk but I will keep working on it. I turned my head to Chelsea who was looking straight ahead "Hell...o" I spoke once more with that slight pause, but it was a bit better.

She turned her head to me with a raised eyebrow "Did you just say hell?" She asked in wonder as I realised what she was referring to, in order to say hello, you must say hell first. "Keep working at it, I can tell you have a nice voice" My cheeks burned a little red at her compliment as I could tell she was watching me at the corner of her eyes.

Instead of going to her room, she led me down into the lounge area where many different pack members were socializing, some playing board games, others playing video games and they were a couple even watching a movie with a bunch of pups. She walked over to a table that had Samantha, her mate Cali and I think if I remember correctly Chase is the other friend of Chelsea.

"Hey, guys what do you want us for?" Chelsea slid into a chair causing me to be the only one standing awkwardly next to her since there were no more chairs for me and I couldn't see many others free nearby unless I walked all the way to the middle of the room to steal one which I can already tell many pack members where looking my way and it was sending shivers down my spine causing me to just duck my head slightly instead.

"Well since the eclipse moon is coming shortly, we were thinking about hosting a gathering of different packs to celebrate it and wanted to ask you what you think of it?" Samantha explained causing me to jump slightly not realising they were talking as I noticed Cali was holding onto her hand tightly "And it was Cali's idea since the problem that happened, her pack isn't really on good terms right now with our own because of that and we think it is a good way to bring them back together" It seems that problem was the incident that happened with Cali which Alpha Gordon completely shot down the idea of investigating what happened and how it happened which caused a lot of problems.
