The Book Of Flowers

Chapter 5

A few days have passed and nothing much has happened. I still get new flowers every morning. Today is my first day of Proper Princess lessons. I wake up around 7:30 to knocking on my door. I roll over and see the flowers, they look like Amaryllis. I stand up and walk over to my door. I open it and am greeted by Mary and Jane.

"Good morning dear," Jane says.

I yawn and rub my eyes, "Good morning, do you guys need something?" I ask.

"Princess, today is the first day of your lessons." Mary says.

"Oh. I completely forgot."

All of a sudden Sebastian's head pops around the corner, "Good Morning Stell!" He cheers.

"Good morning Sebastian." I say while smiling.

"Your lessons are in 30 minutes, you better start getting ready." Mary says.

"Okay."

I got back into my room and Mary and Jane follow after. I grab semi-formal clothes and head to my bathroom. Once I leave the bathroom I head over to my vanity and let Jane and Mary do my hair and makeup. They are just doing loose curls today. They add my tiara when they are done. They do my make up as well and it's just something light.

"Done! You look wonderful dear," Mary says.

"Thank you both!"

I get up from my chair and walk over to the door, I look at the time. I have 8 minutes to get to my lessons. I say goodbye one last time and run off to my lessons.

"C'mon we're going to be late!" I say while walking past Sebastain. He runs up to me and we keep a pretty good pace. We make it just in time and we both enter the room. I've never been in this room before. We walk in and there is an older woman there. I walk farther in and Sebastian follows me in but steps off to the side next to the door. I walk over to the table and sit down.

"Hello Miss Estella." She says while holding her hand out.

"Hello!" I shake her hand.

"I'm Eleanor and I'll be your instructor for your lessons." She goes and grabs a clipboard, "We will first do some tests to see what you need to improve on." She hands me a teacup and looks at me. I take a sip of the tea and she writes something down. "Okay, now I need you to walk around the room." I get up and walk in a line as she requested. I turn back around to see her write something down again. "Do you know how to dance? Like ballroom dance?" She asks.

I look over at Sebastian who looks really bored, "Um sorta? I learned a little for my party."

She nods and writes it down, "You will also do dance lessons and your guard will be your dance partner." That seemed to have caught his attention because I looked at him and he was smiling. "We will work on your posture and how you use cups and cutlery properly." She sets her clipboard down, "We also need to work on how you walk." I nod, "We will start tomorrow, today was just me seeing what you need to work on. You are allowed to leave now." She stands up.

"Oh okay, thank you!" I stand up and walk over to the doors and exit the room with Sebastain following behind me."Well that was short." I happily saw while looking at him.

"Did she assign me as your dance partner?" He asks.

"Yeah, apparently I need to just get better overall and you will just learn as well I guess." We make our way over to the main hall and mother comes over to us.

"Estella?" Mother asks.

"Yes?"

"I'm going to plan a tea party for you because you need friends, and before you say anything Sebastian doesn't count. You need girl friends, so you will meet with them tomorrow at noon." She looks at me while smiling.
