"wait! no, don't go!" akio screams. he screams until his lungs couldn't take it anymore as rain pours onto him. he sits on the ground sobbing while holding the body of his best friend after the guy in the car drove off. he sobs hard onto the body in his arms. "noki!" he screams.
"and that is all you remember?" the psychiatrist asks. akio simply nods. "who was noki to you?" akio slowly looks up at her before he slowly starts to speak.
"he was...my best friend, almost like my soulmate. i loved him so much." akio looks back down and mumbles "can i go home now?"
he makes it to his front door and starts digging in his pocket for the keys. he walks inside heading straight to his room, paying no mind to his parents. he walked in and threw himself on his bed.
"i miss you so much.." tears start to form in his eyes as he stares at the wall. eventually he cried himself to sleep.
"noki i have a job for you"

as the man in charge left the room noki stares down at akio through the portal which can show any and all worlds. he feels his heart being pulled down by strings to the bottom of his stomach. he grips edge of where the portal lays. he snaps his eyes shut feeling his breath become uneasy. he felt a sense of anxiety wash over him. he didn't know how long he had to wait to save his best friend. he opens his eyes slowly to see akio sleeping letting out sniffles here and there. he lets go of the portal edge and rushes to where his house stands. he barged into his room and started grabbing a bunch of things. he stuffs them into a bag he found that laid on the floor. he rushes out of the house and runs as fast as possible to the portal room managing to get past the guards. he stares down into the portal that shows purples and blues mixing together. he thinks of the place he wishes to go to. akio appears again. noki looks around. no one is watching. he jumps in.
