You were a nurse at Mayhaven Asylum. Have been for six years, and honestly, you were hoping they would fire you. That is until the scientists daughter was admitted and put under your care. She was gorgeous, with hair as bright as the sun, but eyes as red and as deep as the blood that ran through you. She wore black framed glasses and had a doctors mask covering her mouth, like she was scared that if she breathed the same air as you, that she would get sick.
You could remember that when she first looked at you it sent shivers down your spine. Probably not the good kind either, but you could never tell the difference. She didn't speak to you or look at you after that. Until she asked where the medical supplies were. Her voice was that of an angels, that of a gospel choir.
Unfortunatly you knew it was against the rules to show her where you kept all the medical supplies. She was the scientists daughter, and you knew what she had done. She was admitted to the asylum for the murder of her mother, father, and younger sister. She was standing over what was left of their bodies when she had cut them open and had begun digging through their insides. You couldn't allow that to happen to any of the patients here.
With that answer she turned and left. She didn't speak to you for another four months. After four months, she came back, and asked you instead for a pen. A pen? Anything she could ask for and a pen? As far as you knew, pens were not considered dangerous, so you allowed her a pen. A red one to match her eyes.
With a smile, she turned, and hummed a happy little tune, her containment door shutting behind her. You could have sworn you heard a bird screaming for help a moment later. But she wouldn't do that, not to such an innocent creature. At least that's what you told yourself.
Soon, She began asking for more pens of different colors. Not once did she ask for paper, or a napkin. So being as smart and kind as you were, you decided to check up on her. You slowly opened her door, and what met your eyes had cost you your life.
Birds. Birds everywhere. Yet they were not singing their beautiful melodies. In fact they were not singing at all. Though you heard an angelic voice singing 'Greensleeves'. When you peaked in more to see who, it was her. It was the scientists daughter. She was smiling, while using a pen to stab into and cut into a poor helpless bird.
She turned to look at you.
"Ah, I see you've finally arrived. Wait just a moment and the doctor will be with you."
You don't know if you're even dead. Everything went dark after that, and it still is. Its so, so dark...
"Help.."
