Wyatt was sitting on the floor, back pressed against the wall, knees pressed to his chest. The wolf was shaking, he was struggling to get his breathing under control. He wanted to hear his mother's voice one more time, he missed her more than ever. Why did Bucky even say anything? Why did he have to open his fucking mouth?!

Twenty minutes earlier:

Wyatt and his pack were in the cafeteria, sitting at a circular table in the middle of the room. Wyatt wasn't in the best mood, seeing as though him and A-Lan got into a heavy fight the morning beforehand. The pack were talking about what they usually talk about; Froyo, and the clubs they were in. Wyatt put his head down on the table, Willa was quick to notice.

"Wyatt, hey, what's up?" Willa asked her younger brother with concern; Wyatt poked his head up. "Did something happen?"

"Just... Relationship drama, It's alright." Wyatt reassured; Willa was still skeptical of her brother's attitude. Before Willa could say another word, Bucky opened his gullet from the table behind the wolves.

"Looks like monsters can't find love, bummer." Bucky laughed, along with the Acey's. Willa wanted to stand up and give Bucky a piece of her mind, but Wyatt kept her down. Wyatt really didn't want to start fights right now, so all he did was scoff. That wasn't the reaction Bucky wanted, so he just rolled his eyes. "Gee, someone's mom didn't say good morning to them when they woke up."

Wyatt froze, everything went blurry around him, and everything sounded muffled for him. Bucky had no idea that his mother is a sensitive topic, he knew nothing about Wyatt. A rush of horrible memories came flooding back to the young wolf, memories of his mother's screams, his mother's cries, all the fire. Horrible memories of what he witnessed crashed onto him like a harsh tsunami. It was causing him to panic, his breathing picked up pretty fast.

"What the hell is wrong with you, Bucky?!" Willa screamed out, holding back the urge to claw the president to shreds. A fight broke between the two, Wyatt was paying no attention to the quarrel, everything was blurry for him. Wynter put a light hand on her friend's shoulder.

"Wyatt... Are you alright?" Wynter asked, this seemed to set Wyatt off the edge; he pulled away and raced out the cafeteria. He quickly escaped to the zombie safe room. He told himself he would never go into this room, damnit...

Present time:

There Wyatt was, crying his eyes out against the wall. He wanted to hear his mother's voice, feel her warm embrace. He missed his mother so much. He wasn't paying attention when he heard the thick metal door creak open, but he could hear the door slam close. He really didn't care; everything was a mess for him. He finally snapped out of his breakdown when he felt a warm hand on his cheek.

"Mom..." Wyatt mustered out, his voice croaked and raspy.

"Darling, open your eyes." The voice responded, their other hand holding onto Wyatt's hand. Wyatt slowly fluttered his eyes open.

A-Lan.

"Fuck- Hey babe I-I was just..." Wyatt started explaining, but he was quickly cut off when A-Lan pulled Wyatt into a protective hug, a hug he remembers his mother giving him, this only made his tears pour out more.

"Breath, darling. I've got you; nobody can hurt you." A-Lan was whispering comforting words to sooth Wyatt. His comforting words seemed to work; Wyatt's breathing went steady again. It was like A-Lan was magical. "That's it, love. I've got you, you're safe."

"How did you find me here?" Wyatt asked, resting his head on his boyfriend's shoulder. A-Lan giggled in response.

"A-Spen saw you run in here in a panic, they told me, and I got worried." A-Lan responded, Wyatt let out a light giggle, refusing to leave A-Lans embrace. "We must get back to class, Wyatt." Wyatt nodded, pulling away and standing up.

"Hey, A-Lan?" Wyatt took A-Lans hand, A-Lan tilting his head. "I'm... Sorry about the fight we had earlier, I lost my temper." Wyatt apologized, A-Lan giggled and kissed Wyatt's forehead.

"Apology accepted, dear." A-Lan gave Wyatt a gentle smile, Wyatt almost getting lost in A-Lans teal eyes. "Now, let's get back to class. We can't have you be late like yesterday." Wyatt laughed.

"Haha! Okay, okay. Dinner date after school?"

"Always."
