Chapter 10: Danger Seeker

Sounds of someone shuffling around his bedchambers awakens Jungkook from his peaceful slumber. As he looks around the dark room, he realizes that his mate is not sleeping beside him.

"Dear?" Jungkook sleepily mutters and sits up.

"Did I wake you?" Taehyung softly asks and sits on the bed next to his mate.

"Is everything fine?" Jungkook mutters and wraps his arms around his mate's waist.

"I am going out to explore one of the mountains the castle is nestled against." Taehyung softly responds and threads his fingers through Jungkook's long hair.

"It is not even dawn yet." Jungkook mumbles and snuggles his face into his mate's abdomen.

"It will be dawn soon." Taehyung gently pats his mate's head.

"Make sure to dress warm enough. Should I come with you?" The King looks up at his mate with big eyes.

"No, you should rest. I know that you have many duties to attend to." Taehyung softly smiles and kisses his mate's forehead.

"How are you feeling? Are you sore?" Jungkook sits up and pulls his mate into his lap.

"I feel fine. You took such good care of me and were gentle with me." Taehyung snuggles into his mate's warm embrace.

"If anything happens, you know that you can link me through our bond. I will come to you as quickly as possible." Jungkook mumbles and buries his face in the crook of his mate's neck.

"I know." Taehyung softly hums and closes his eyes.

"Today, I will plan our wedding and your coronation as Queen. From what I have learned about you, you hate royal affairs such as these, so run wild and free as much as you want to. Explore every cranny and nook to your heart's content." Jungkook gently places a tender kiss on the golden rose that has blossomed on his mate's shoulder.

"I will balance freedom and my duties. I promise that I will be a Queen that brings peace and prosperity to Voreion." Taehyung smiles and kisses his mate's lips.

"Go and have fun. Tomorrow, you will need to be cooped up to be measured for clothing. For today, wear my clothing and stay warm." Jungkook softly hums as he rubs his mate's back.

"Can I ask something of you?" Taehyung blushes and shyly bites his bottom lip.

"Sure, what is it?" Jungkook smiles and brushes his mate's hair from his face.

"For clothes, can I only get the official garments I need while I wear your clothes for everyday wear?" Taehyung shyly whispers while avoiding meeting Jungkook's loving gaze.

"Of course, my Dear. If it is my clothing you wish to wear, then it is my clothing you shall wear." Jungkook's smile brightens at his mate's shy request.

"Th-thank you." Taehyung shyly stutters then tries to wiggle out of his strong mate's embrace.

"You do not need to be shy when asking me for things. I will gladly give you everything." Jungkook gently tightens his embrace around his shy mate.

"I am not used to asking for things from others." Taehyung mumbles while playing with his fingers.

"My adorable Queen." Jungkook smiles and kisses his mate on the forehead. "Go and have fun."

"I will return before the sun sets." Taehyung happily smiles as he gets out of his mate's lap and runs over to the large wardrobe to find something to wear.

As he dons his mate's clothes, Taehyung realizes how large the people from Vorieon are. 

"What is wrong?" Jungkook asks when he sees his mate's pout in the flickering candlelight.
