Chapter 38

Julia's POV

 I have avoided Willow the rest of the summer and I feel awful for it but I am scared of her. She told me she hates me. I held Iris in my arms crying. Iris was looking at me with her big eyes confused. "Peyton is here for Iris." Ronnie said. I handed her to him and went to get ready. Ronnie was taking me out after he dropped Willow off for her first day at school. Crissy wasn't able to take Willow to visit before summer ended due to a work emergency. I laid in bed when I heard little feet come up the steps. "Mommy." I heard a little voice say. She walked over to my side of the bed. "Mommy, will you please come drop me off at school? I am scared." Willow said. "I'm not feeling well. I will maybe come tomorrow if I am feeling better." I said. "Okay." She said sadly. I heard her crying as she left the room. "I'm really sorry mommy." She said as she retreated downstairs. I sat there feeling awful and I heard the car start. I jumped out of bed pulling on my sneakers as fast as possible. I ran to grab my purse and phone and ran outside. They were almost out the driveway. I ran to the car and Ronnie stopped. I saw him smile. I jumped in the front and buckled myself in. I reached back my hand and Willow held on tight. We got to her school and climbed out of the car. Willow stood there shaking like a leaf. I squatted down to her level. "There is no need to be afraid Willow. You are a Radke and Radkes are tough and fearless. I promise you will have an amazing first day. We will be here when you get out." I said. She nodded and began walking towards the school. She turned around can came running back. She hugged me tightly. "I love you mommy." She said kissing my cheek. "I love you too baby. I will be right here when school is over." I said kissing her forehead. She nodded and headed inside. "I'm proud of you." Ronnie said as we climbed into the car. "Thanks. I'm still upset about what she said but I have to move on." I said. He nodded. He drove us to some breakfast plate and I ordered a mountain of pancakes. Chocolate chip pancakes. Ronnie tried to steal a bite and I almost stabbed his hand with a fork. "I can't believe you are still this addicted to pancakes." He chuckled. "Pancakes are life." I said. He smiled I leaned over a left a syrup kiss mark on his face. "So do you really like having another dog?" I asked. "Ya, Iris deserves to have a friend since Charlie is always with Willow or us." He said. I smiled. "I think she loves Sweetie. Someone to grow up with her." I said. "I was thinking exactly that when I got her." He said. "So smart. We should get another puppy." I said smiling. "You really want your own dog, don't you?" he asked. "Charlie was technically yours then Willow's." I said. "What kind of dog?" he asked. "Could I pretty please have a French Bulldog?" I asked. "Like Telle's dog Colby?" he asked. I nodded. "I guess, I don't see why not. We can ask Telle where he got his." He said. I squealed and hugged him tightly. "We can go look after we finish eating." He said. I finished eating my pancakes and record time. I texted Telle saying we would be over in a few minutes. He chuckled and paid the bill. I jumped in the car and he drove towards Telle's. "We could wait a little while until Sweetie is fully house trained too. As long as we get one, I can wait." I said. "Well we will see. Sweetie is doing a good job with her training." He said. I nodded and looked out the window. "Peyton and Max have moved in together." I said. ""Really, I am happy for them. I swear to god though Max fucks up I will kill him." He said. I chuckled and kissed his cheek. We arrived at Telle's and we walked up to the door. Colby was trying to jump up at the window to see us. I chuckled and rang the doorbell. Telle answered and Colby ran straight for me. I babysit Colby when Telle is on tour and his girlfriend isn't home. She is such a sweetheart and I love her. "Hey guys." Telle said hugging us. I picked up Colby and gave her kisses. Pam came to the door and hugged me. "I've missed you." She said. "I've been busy at home with the baby." I said. She nodded. "So what's up?" she asked as we all headed to the living room. "I wanted to get a French bulldog and I wanted to know where you got this cutie." I said scratching Colby's ears. "We got her from a breeder. I can give you her number." Telle said. "Please." I said smiling. He went to go get it. "So how long is he home for?" I asked Pam. "He at the end of October to tour with Crown the Empire, Get Scared, Dayshell, Palisades, and I See Stars." She said mumbling the last band. Ronnie rolled his eyes. "I am not happy he is touring with them either but I am not going to tell him. He is living his dream." She said. I smiled. "This one is leaving me early next year to tour. I am going to miss him." I said. "I guess I will have to come see the cuties and help distract." She said. I nodded. Telle handed me the number. "Thank you." I said. He sat down next to Pam and kissed her cheek. She blushed and I smiled. Ronnie's phone went off. He looked at it. "Excuse me, it is Willow's school." He said walking off. I sighed. "What's going on?" Telle asked. "Willow hasn't been on her best behavior and it doesn't surprise me if she already got in trouble." I said. Ronnie came back. "We have to go. Willow is hurt." He said. I thanked Telle for the number and we left. As soon as we got to the school, I ran inside and found Willow sitting in the office holding an icepack on her eye. "Sweetie, what happened?" I asked. She started crying and wrapped her arms around me crying into my chest. "What happened to my daughter?" Ronnie roared angry. "Andrew here punched her." The principal said. "Why did he punch you sweetie?" I asked her. "Because he stole my bunny and I tried to get it back from him then he punched me and ran away with my bunny." She sobbed. Andrew's parents walked in. I grabbed Ronnie's arm and made him sit. "You have to be calm." I said. He nodded. "I would like my daughter's bunny back." I said nicely. "No, it's for my sister." Andrew said rudely. I looked up at his mother. "Just buy your daughter a new one. She shouldn't have brought it to school." His mother said. I was furious. "Give me my daughter's bunny or else." I said. The principal stepped between her and me. "I expect the doll to be returned. We have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of behavior. Andrew is expelled from this school." The principal said. His mom grumbled but his dad just sat there too busy with his phone to care. I saw Willow's bunny in the boy's backpack. I reached down and grabbed the bunny. I handed it to Willow and she hugged it tightly. Andrew's parents took Andrew and left. "Where was her teacher when this happened?" I asked. "She was in the bathroom." He said. "No one else was watching the children." I said. "No, I am terribly sorry that this has happened." He said. "I am taking my daughter home and we will decided if she will return to this school or not. I don't want my daughter going somewhere where she isn't watched constantly." I said. He nodded. I picked Willow up and headed out to the car. I climbed in the back with her and buckled her in. We drove home and I got and icepack for Willow's eye. "Honey, we can switch your school if you would like." I said. "Can I go to school with Leila?" she asked. "Of course, I will call Gabby right now." I said kissing her forehead. Ronnie sat down with her and I went to call Gab. "Hey Julia." She said. "Hey, what school does Leila go to?" I asked. "Why?" she asked. I explained what happened to Willow at school. She gave me the name of the school instantly. "I am so sorry that happened to her. I can come get you and Willow now and we can head over to Leila's school to get her enrolled." Gab said. "I will go talk to Willow and then text you." I said. "Okay." She said. I headed back to the living room. "Willow, Gabby said she would take us over to the school now so we can get you enrolled." I said. She nodded. I texted Gab it was okay to come over. "I am going to go see Jacky while you two are gone then. He is still upset over Tiffany leaving him." He said. I nodded. Gab honked her horn and we headed out to the car. Willow climbed in the back. "Hey girlie. Let's go get you enrolled in school." Gabby said. Willow smiled and nodded. We got to the school and headed inside. Gabby took us to the main office. "Hi, I would like to enroll my daughter here." I said. "Okay just fill out this paperwork." She said. I nodded and sat down filling them out. "Is your daughter okay?" she asked. "Today was her first day of school at a different school and a boy punched her in the face while her teacher was out of the room. There was no one watching the classroom." I said. "We do not have that problem here. There is always a teacher with the students at all times." She said. I smiled and handed her the paperwork. "Would you like to meet your daughter's teacher?" she asked. I nodded and took Willow's hand. We walked to the classroom and all the kids were playing. We walked in and we saw Leila was in the room. Willow instantly smiled. "Hi Karen, this is your new student Willow Radke." The principal said. Willow waved weakly. "Hi Willow, I am your teacher Miss Karen." She said. Willow smiled. Karen introduced her to the class. Leila smiled and ran over to hug her. I watched the girls smile as Leila took her to meet some other girls. Willow was allowed to stay in the class for the remainder of the day and then we took the girls home. "I am so happy we are going to be in the same class." Leila said. "So am I." Willow said hugging her. Gabby and I smiled. I helped Willow out of the car and we said goodbye. We headed inside and Willow went to watch TV. I sat on the couch and told Ronnie that Willow was registered at school and that she is in the same class as Leila. He said he would be home later for dinner. Willow curled up by my side yawning. "I love you mommy." She said before she fell asleep. "I love you too Sweetie." I said kissing her head.
