Lumine was giving Childe his weekly beating when suddenly, she hit the ginger a bit too hard, and he collided with the barrier, collapsing on the floor and dropping dead as blood ran down his head.
Lumine panicked at the sight, not knowing what to do. Childe was far too gone to be saved by an egg—not that she wanted to save him anyway.
She had just killed Zhongli's wallet, and she was going to face the consequences.
A thought then crossed through her mind, she smiled in a manic manner as she turned her back on Paimon.
Paimon panicked, not knowing what would happen to them both, knowing how Zhongli would kill them both. She tried to talk to Lumine, flying over to her, to only see the blonde swiftly move pass her, stabbing her in the stomach, pure shock on her face as Paimon's face deadpanned as she collapses on the ground, a thud following as the once flying pixie hit the ground.
Lumine tried to think what the fuck she was going to do about this while burying Childe's and the pixie's dead bodies in a pile of mora, hoping no one would find them.
Can't get caught if no one knows. Lumine thought to herself.
The girl started preparing all the necessities, buying some osmanthus wine and visiting the neighboring religion, Sumeru, to gather some poisonous fungi. She crushed them into a fine powder, mixing it in with the wine till it wasn't visible.
Lumine then stared proudly at the finished drink, the original color of osmanthus wine changing from a light yellow to now a dainty pinkish yellow, hoping it would work. The girl found Zhongli sitting near the teahouse, so she walked up to him and put her plan into action.
"Hey Zhongli! Paimon isn't here today, and Xiangling dropped this drink off earlier. I knew you liked osmanthus wine, so I saved some for you to try."
"Thank you, traveler, for the gift. Let me try it. Hm.."
Zhongli opened the bottle, pouring the wine into an empty teacup he had laying around. He looked down, noticing the slight color change from the osmanthus wine, but shrugged it off, thinking it was possibly because of how long the osmanthus wine had been aging.
Suddenly Zhongli's eyes widened as he took his first sip, he held his neck as he got up from his chair, then he dropped dead on his chair, not from the poison but from the fact that the osmanthus wine didn't taste the same as he remembered.
Lumine quickly fled from the scene, worried but excited that she had just killed Liyue's archon. She knew that Hu Tao would be after her if she found out Lumine had just murdered her co-worker and friend, so she set out for Wangshang Funeral Parlor; she was too deep to stop now.
Lumine made it to the entrance of the Funeral Parlor, hiding her long sword behind her back as she pushed the door open with one hand.
Hu Tao heard the bell ring, coming out from her corner to greet the Traveller.
