Liangzhen released the grip on Nu wa's hand when they reached the outskirts of the town. After making sure there was no one following them, he put down the kid and massaged his own shoulders.
Nu wa collapsed on the ground and panted heavily. Then awkwardly laughed at him.
"I thank young master for helping me today. That bully always like that. But both of our families involved in political affairs and nobody cared about us! Today I'm satisfied. You were very cool. Haha!"
"Never mind. Don't go around and grab random people like today anymore." He sighed.
"About that... Hehe! It was first time. And there will be no next time. I reached out to you because I believed in you." She scratched her head.
"Oh? How did you reached that conclusion? Are we familiar?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Ah, from your face...you look like a handsome gentleman." Then she murmured, "...and my instinct was true though!"
Seeing her giving the best smile at him his heart skipped a beat. He lost for a moment but soon looked away with slightly red cheeks. "Don't trust someone because of their looks." He coughed.
"Never. I swear! Hehe!" She promised quickly. Then fiddled with her fingers in nervousness... "That... Young master, may I know your name?" Then quickly clarified herself. "... I mean if I want to tell my family about your help I should introduce you properly. That's why..."
A-zhen looked at her for a moment. Then cupped his fist in a polite way. "I'm Xiao Liangzhen."
"Oh. I'm Jiang Nu wa. My father is the head of imperial guards, general Jiang Cheng. My mother is the famous doctor from left Wen clan, Wen Qing. My uncle is the imperial consort Wei Wuxian. My grandma is the famous purple spider. My grandpa was the sect leader and former general before passing away! And my aunt married to..."
"Stop! Stop! That's more than enough miss Jiang. I have to go. My brother is waiting for me for the medicine. Don't mind this little favour by me. Then... Bye." He quickly interrupted her in a flustered voice before taking his leave.
"Ah, one more thing. Don't spill out all your family details and personal matters in front of strangers. Bye." He stopped and told her. Then practically fleed from there!
She waved at his way excitedly. Then stopped with a pout. "Hmph! We are not strangers anymore!"
Then looked at the little kid's gossipy face! "A-qing, don't tell my family about him. Understand?"
"Why shi jie? You told me that you are going to tell sect leader, right?" He blinked innocently.
"No means no. Heard me? Come let's go. Don't meddle in adult's matters."
She reprimanded him before taking his little hand and started to walk towards home. On the way she became frustrated once more...
"Aaaaah! I forgot to ask him whether he is single! Stupid me!"
"Shi jie..."
"Oh what?"
"If you like that big brother, then you should make him lotus seed soup. I heard your aunty made your uncle fall for her like that!"
"Do you think everyone is a glutton like sect leader Jin? Wait..." She posed looked at the little gossiper.
"Where did you heard that? Yaaah! A-qing don't run. Stop there you brat!" She shouted and ran after him.
"My aunt is the most beautiful lady in Yunmeng. She was too pretty that my uncle fell for her at first sight, alright!"
She stopped and placed her hands on her hip. Then murmured the last part...
