Chapter ~ 13

As Heabom and Teasung closed up their café for the night, they walked hand in hand back to their cabin. The moon was bright, and the stars twinkled in the sky.

"I can't believe how far we've come," Teasung said softly. "From two strangers who met in a coffee shop, to where we are now."

Heabom smiled. "It's been quite a journey, hasn't it?"

Teasung stopped walking and turned to face Heabom. "There's something I need to tell you," he said, his voice filled with sadness.

Heabom's heart sank. "What is it?" he asked, fearing the worst.

Teasung took a deep breath. "I've been feeling sick lately, and I went to see a doctor. They found a lump."

Heabom's eyes widened in shock. "Is it cancer?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

Teasung nodded. "Yes. They're going to do some more tests, but the doctor said it doesn't look good."

Tears welled up in Heabom's eyes as he pulled Teasung into a tight embrace. "I'm so sorry," he whispered.

Teasung held him tightly, burying his face in Heabom's shoulder. "I'm scared," he admitted. "I don't want to leave you."

Heabom held him even tighter. "You're not going anywhere," he said fiercely. "I'll be with you every step of the way. We'll fight this together."

As they held each other, the weight of the news sank in. They knew their lives were going to change forever, but they also knew that they had each other.

"I love you," Teasung whispered, his voice barely audible.

"I love you too," Heabom replied, his voice thick with emotion.

They stood there, holding each other, under the moonlit sky, not wanting to let go. They knew that they were facing a tough road ahead, but they also knew that they had the strength and the love to face it together.
