"Stay?" She asked when she called back.
"Yes." I answered.
"But , you haven't been there the last 9 years why do you want to be there now?!" This time she screamed into the phone so loud Sophie came and took the phone from me.
"Mommy? I'm staying." she told her.
Hanna didn't call back this time...or any time for two days. In that two days I learned my daughters favorite ice cream mint chocolate chip , favorite color blue, middle name grace, her dream place Paris, her birthday June 8th 2005, and so much more! Her 10th birthday is two weeks away; to show Hanna that I'm really trying to be a father I will throw her a birthday party she will never forget. I swiftly picked up my phone and enrolled Sophie in the last week of school. Why? So she can make friends and I can fly them to Paris for Sophie's birthday.
