Mias POV:
'Why didn't Daniel ask me to drive you around the track?' Lando complained, for the millionth time of the morning, instead of getting ready for his race.It had been an entire day and yet he still wasn't over the fact he missed another one of my videos.
'Because Lewis is faster, Lando!' Daniel shouted from the garage next door.
I clasped my mouth closed to keep myself from laughing, but couldn't hide it in anymore when he slowly turned to me, narrowed eyes, as if waiting for me to crack.
'Go out there and prove him wrong Lando.' I smiled, letting out another laugh as he pulled me into a tight hug.
'I'll prove you wrong too, hater.'
'Mia! Get your ass over here! You're my sister!' Daniel shouted.
I looked at Lando with an I told you so face, before heading round to my brothers garage, looking at Danny who was leaning up against his car, one headphone in.
'Are you okay?' I asked, a little concerned, sitting down in-front of him.
'I just don't want to let you down. I don't want to let the fans down, or the team down. There's a lot of people I could let down today that I don't want to.' He explained.
'Daniel. You're going out there and you're racing. You won't let anyone down.' I assured him.
'I don't know if Mclaren is for me anymore, Mia.' He whispered.
'I know Daniel, I know. But you've got an entire year ahead of you. Please, just try and make it work?'
He nodded softly, giving my hand a squeeze, getting up from the floor and taking his headphones out. It was go time, and for once, I had decided to go and watch from the stands.
I wanted to watch from the point of view as a fan, and not as who I was. However, on my way over to the stands, I noticed a familiar face following me towards my seats.
'Who sent you here, Lucas?' I called, spinning to see the security guard following up close behind me.
'You know who sent me, Mia.' He smiled, tucking his phone into his pocket and holding his arm out infront of me, protecting me from the crowds.
'How did Charles know I wasn't watching from the lounge anyway?' I asked, taking a seat near the front of the barrier.
'That boy would know if a hair on your head sat differently.' He responded, sitting down besides me and readjusting the earpiece in his ear.
'That's so not true.' I laughed, blushing a little.
Thankfully, the boys appearing on track stopped that conversation, as screams of applause took over the stands.
I had to hide my excitement, fans and jealous girls watching me closely as I got up to head back to the paddock, yet I was buzzing inside. Despite Lando not finishing the race, he wasn't the only one, and my brother would've done better if he didn't have a time penalty. I knew that made both of them feel better.
'You coming to see Charles or is this where we part?' Lucas asked, standing outside of the Ferrari garage.
'This is where we part, Lucas. You're a good race partner though, I'll have to join you for more races.' I smiled.
'The only way I'll be allowed is if you run off on your own and Charles worries you're in danger again.' He winked.
'Don't give me ideas.'
'Hey, Mia! Get your ass in here!' Lando called.
'I've got to go.' I laughed, turning towards the McLaren Garage, swiping my pass to get in, letting both boys hug me despite them being sweaty.
