Bittersweet.

Its Saturday night and i'm going out with Jessica. Not going out like a date but hangout. We've been calling and texting all week and we planned a hangout at Danielas club Jessica said she would pick me up and take me so I'm waiting on the couch for her to get here i'm wearing a black cropped top and a green mesh skirt with floral designs on it with some mary janes with my hair half up tied with a ribbon this is gonna be the first time we hangout after that time at the cafe I feel nervous but I don't know why

I suddenly heard a knock at the door and I got more nervous I expected her to text me then I would walk out to her car but I guess she's walking me to her car I get up and tell myself to stop being nervous cause I was gonna make it awkward. I opened the door and I saw her standing there she's wearing blue jeans and a black tank top, over the tank top she's wearing a navy short sleeved button up that she didn't button up so you can see her under shirt she has her hair down and is giving me a big smile I don't really acknowledge her because I was busy admiring her

"Hi" she says still smiling

"Hi" I say smiling back

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah i'm ready let's go"

I think I made that so much more awkward than it had to be why did I stare at her for so long now i'm the creepy one.We get to the car and she opened the door for me I giggled at the gesture and said thank you as I got in.She drove us to the club the car ride was pretty silent and felt like it lasted forever even though the club isnt far from the apartment I started wondering if my comfortableness with her was only a thing that happened at the cafe and started to regret coming

We got to the club and went to go get drinks at the bar I said hi to Daniela and she widened her eyes looking shocked when she saw I was here with someone other than Joselyn I just smiled and ordered the drinks so me and Jessica could go sit at a booth I didn't plan on getting drunk tonight so I just ordered a daiquiri and Jessica ordered a old fashioned that definitely seemed like her.

When we sat down she told me that I looked pretty I felt myself blush and told her she looked great herself from there we started talking and I felt myself getting more and more comfortable like that day at the cafe we just talked and talked and talked she opened up a little more this time she told me how she grew up in New York and I told her how I did too and how it was a crazy coincidence she did live in a different part of the city so it wasn't too crazy she said she came to Boston because of her job as a assistant I asked about her family but she didn't want to speak of it and asked me about my family I told her how my family is in New York and how i'm pretty close with my parents and how my i'm even closer with my sister Vivi and I swear I saw Jessica's eyes widen a bit when I brought up my sister it confused me but I didn't really question it and just went on about how she comes to visit me sometimes and how much I miss her.After talking all night I ended up ordering more drinks than I planned to. I was in the middle of talking when I stopped and heard the song that was playing

"New romantics! oh my god I love this song"

"Let's go dance?" she asks me

"YES PLEASE"

I grab her hand and pull her out to the dance floor I let myself get lost to the music I probably looked stupid but this song was too good to not dance to
