Marina's past always seemed to haunt her, specifically Amber Freeman and Woodsboro. Amber and Marina had a complicated relationship, Marina spent most of her year following her around like a lost puppy. And when the murders of Ghostface followed their friend group, she was almost certain it couldn't be Amber.

Almost. Amber wasn't the only thing that had died last night, so had the perfect image of Amber she created in her mind. So had her friends Wes and Liv and even her sister. And whatever she did, she couldn't get the image out of her brain. Amber tried to kill her. She watched people she had cared for die in front of her eyes.

So, she did what she did best. Run away. But this time, she wasn't alone she had Tara, Chad, Mindy, and Sam. They moved to New York City, far away from the troubles of Ghostface and Woodsboro.

Yet, Marina had changed. She needed to fill the somewhat empty aching hole she still felt from that night. So, she ended up getting any sort of fight she could muster in New York. If you asked around, the things you found on her name wouldn't be pretty. But she liked the thrill, she liked watching the fire in people's eyes. But she also just liked being with her friends, having a group of people just to be with.

But soon enough, Ghostface seemed to appear at Blackmore. And Marina was starting to get Deja Vu. She couldn't fall in love with the killer twice, right? Well, maybe she could. And suddenly, she wasn't liking the feeling of feeling like the lovesick puppy she was last year. So she wouldn't be, and this year Ghostface should be scared of her.

You can't escape your past—and well Ghostface.
