Mirae had been keeping a close eye on her parents, and some of the workers there. Mentally keeping notes of their schedule. She didn't wanna give herself away. She had also remembered the timing for the camera movement. She did have a lot of time on her hands after all.

Mirae had packed some stuff, not too much though. She didn't want it to be noticeable. She also looked at the GPS and map at how and where she would go, knowing when and how to avoid her parents. She was gonna leave. She was finally gonna do it.

Mirae knew she wouldn't get far on her bike, but she would have to go halfway to finally meet her online friends and get picked up. Finally, she would be able to meet Yeosang.

Mirae knew though, that she would have to leave her laptop and phone behind. Just in case. She wasn't gonna risk bringing them with her in case there were tracking devices in them. She had already reset her laptop.

Mirae got her phone out. To be on the safe side, she kept her status offline.

Don't get hurt

Anxiety gnawed Mirae's stomach, feeling as if it was being twisted. She restarted her phone, leaving no trace of herself and snuck out. She knew there was no turning back now.

Every step and peddle she took, her heart pounded, afraid she would mess up, and never see the light day again. Adrenaline pumping into her blood, waiting for the moment to end.

 ----

Seonghwa nervously bit his bottom lip. "I can't believe we're actually doing this."

"Me too," Hongjoong said lowly. "I feel like my heart is about to pop out of my chest."

"Yeah," Yunho said taking deep breaths, feeling he was gonna puke his guts out. "And I didn't think she would live this far out. What if someone notices her? Or us? What if we stick out too much?"

"We won't," Seonghwa said, taking a deep breath, stepping onto the gas pedal, speeding up.

"Are you really ok with her staying at your place Yunho?" Hongjoong asked.

"Of course," Yunho nodded. "My mom is ok with it. I didn't tell her much, but I just told her that a friend is going through some things and needs a place to stay."

The older two nodded, taking a deep breath.

"When are we turning?" Seonghwa asked.

Hongjoong looked at his phone. "Left at the next intersection." Seonghwa nodded.

"I'm scared she'll get caught," Yunho whispered.

"She won't," Seonghwa said, turning left. On the side of the road was an open field. Seonghwa pulled to the side and unbuckled his seatbelt, popping the car hood open open. He and Hongjoong got out to open it fully, pretending to do things to the car in case anyone passes by while they wait for Mirae to arrive.

"She should be here soon," Hongjoong said. He felt uneasy and lightheaded He was hoping that no one would see them. He didn't wanna risk anyone getting hurt.

"There she is!" Yunho yelled from inside the car.

"Lin!" Seonghwa waved her over. Lin was her cover up name, in case someone else was nearby.

 ----

Mirae had pedaled away as fast as she could away from that house. The place that was her prison. All those years, being kept in. Not knowing anyone else, talking to anyone else but the residents there inside. Never going beyond her property.

She was scared to screw up.

No, I have to do this. For myself, my friends, and for Yeosang. Mirae became motivated to continue. She can't stop. She came this far. She found and met people who would be there and listen to her.

Though her legs were aching, Mirae didn't didn't want to stop for a break. She was determined. She would finally be able to meet her friends.

They would be here for her. They were gonna help her, even though part of her was screaming to stop and turn back, to go back, to give up. She had to keep pushing forward.

She wasn't gonna go back to that place. That fake paradise.

Mirae hoped no one saw her or knew her. She was scared that a car would come out of nowhere and stop her, and take her back home. Her legs felt like noodles, wanting to give out.

She saw a car. Her heart nearly stopped.

"Lin!" someone waved, calling her over. She felt a big wave of relief wash over her. Rushing over to them, excited to see her friends physically for the first time, and ready to finally leave and be gone.

"Hey guys," Mirae greeted her friends for the first time.

"Ready to get the heck out of here?" Hongjoong asked, taking her bag.
