It had been days since George was locked away in the cell, possibly weeks. But, of course, the brunette wouldn't know. He had no source for track of time and it wasn't like the guards that came down to give him water and dry bread talked to him either.
All he did was eat and tried to get as much sleep as possible to try and block out the outside world. This pattern repeated itself day in and day out. However, during the times that the brunette was awake, the only thing on his mind, of course, was the tall, blonde man. He had tried to ask the guards about him, but, as said before, they were ordered and trained not to talk to any of their prisoners, no matter who it may be, and frankly, it annoyed George.
Currently, the brunette was sitting against the wall behind him, clawing at his nails, given that it was his only provider of entertainment. George had tried to pick the lock sealing the cell, but that resulted in his fingernails being torn away and the skin around it to become blistered and bloody. It left an agonizing pain in the tip of his fingers, but he brushed the feeling away, figuring that it was one of his least of concerns, anyway. Besides, even if the brunette had managed to escape, he was completely out of shape to do anything, both mentally and physically.
He hadn't had a proper meal in days or showered. Practically nothing of the basic human needs. He was tired and his muscles seemed to be merging, having not given a proper bed to sleep in, only a hard piece of metal with a very thin layer of bedding.
George pulled his knees towards his chest, hugging himself as a cold breeze washed through the room, and there, he sat, with an exhausted expression on his face, hoping that the horrid nightmare would be over soon.

Eret weaved through the halls of the castle as busily as a bee, trying to find his way to the main library. Even though he'd been a citizen of the palace for many years, he still found difficulty in navigating his way around, and frankly, it irritated him.
Nevertheless, that failed to stop him from his mission. Not too long ago, he had heard the king and someone else whose voice he did not recognize talking in hushed voices, and, curiosity getting the better of him, he decided to eavesdrop. He wasn't planning on actually finding out about anything. It was all supposed to be child's play, but the second that one statement fell from Philza's mouth, Eret hadn't slept since, his thoughts and theories keeping him awake.
Since he was assigned to many duties around the castle, he hadn't had the time to do anything about his ideas, but now, since George was back, everything seemed to settle down after a few days after, and so, he had the majority of the time for himself as the Head Board and the king decided what they would do with their prime suspects; Dream and George.
When Eret had found out that they brought George and Dream in, together, he really couldn't believe it. He'd asked around the palace for an explanation, but he only got bits and pieces and small fragments of the story, but it was enough for him to come up with a conclusion and figure out what Dream and George had been up to together. Even though half the kingdom heard of their return, the king and the others suggested that everything discussed them should and would stay within the walls of the castle, and so, they left the country in agonizing suspense.
To be completely honest, Eret wasn't all that disappointed that George would do something like that, unlike the rest of the kingdom, because unlike everyone else, Eret knew George. Not just as a knight or hunter, but as a person. The brunette had proven to have good intentions time and time again, but he guessed that something as bad as forming alliances with their arch-nemesis would go against the laws without question.
Whatever, Eret thought, it doesn't matter now. What did matter, however, was how Eret was planning to help George in any way that he could, because, again, after what he heard from the king, there was no doubt that he would be able to clear George's name and Dream's. After Eret had discovered the truth, he had done a bit of thinking, and, considering that everyone in the castle knew what kind of person King Philza was, he had high hopes of setting George and Dream as free citizens and anyone else who had unfortunately faced his wrath though guilty.
Finally reaching the main library, Eret pushed the rusty door open, making a screeching noise as it dragged on the flooring. The hinge was rusty, too, and Eret could only guess that the servants had stopped oiling it due to no one using it as much during the passing years. That was a good thing in some sense, though, because now, if someone had begun to wonder where Eret had gone off to, they wouldn't think that the main library would be the first place that he would go to, therefore Eret had enough time to get out without being caught.
Eret swiftly made his way inside because even though it would take a while for someone to come looking for him, that didn't mean that he wasn't on a clock. He walked through the corridors quickly, his eyes darting around frantically. The library was huge and there were many shelves. What Eret was looking for could be anywhere, but the boy was silently praying and hoping it wouldn't take him as long as he thought it would. And, almost as if luck was on his side for once in his life, he came across at least a dozen of isles that held documents of the bloodline of the Royalty from generations down.
Still, a dozen of isles seemed like a lot and essentially, it was. But it narrowed down Eret's radar by a lot, and for that, he was thankful. Not wasting any time, he started flickering through the different files until he came across a thick folder, and, in big and bold letters, the word 'Davidson.' was written across it. The binder was rusty and covered in dust, and Eret wished that he wouldn't find anything bad in it. He wished that whatever he heard mere hours ago was just some misunderstanding and that his brain was just messing with him given the circumstances, not only he, but everyone was in.
But then again, he wanted to be able to save Dream and George before their decided fate and set anyone else innocent free, so part of him wanted the information to be true.
Shutting his thoughts out, Eret opened the binder, going through the pages until he found the King's name. 'Philza Dakota Davidson.' it read, and beside it was the age he was when the document was created, which was over twenty-six years ago.
Eret's eyes quickly skimmed over everything else on the page that was related to his past; parents, siblings, the job of employment. It was all useless and irrelevant to Eret, but his curiosity was spiked once more when his eye caught the word 'Wife' and below that 'Children.'
Eret gasped audibly, dropping the binder to the floor with a 'thud' that echoed throughout the eerie library. His eyes were dilated and his jaw was clenched, ticking in annoyance and anger. It wasn't the fact that King Philza had children and no one knew about them, but it was a matter of who exactly were his children. All emotions that ever existed and ones that Eret hadn't experienced before overwhelmed his senses and before he knew it, he was marching out of the main library with a hot head, straight down to the chambers in the basement.
