Can I let you in?

BEEP BEEP BEEP!!!! My alarm sound I roll over to check the time 5:45am. Fuck I don't know why I chose a career that makes me get up this early. I head to the bathroom to take a quick shower before picking my outfit for the day. Technically I'm supposed to dress in a business casual attire but the head of the department I work for like us to be comfortable. I take out my phone to check the weather for the day living in Seattle you get maybe 3 days out of the week we're it's sunny and today is not that day. I put on a plain black sweater and some ripped jeans with a pair of vans and do my hair in a pony tail. I grab my lunch out of the fridge before heading out the door.
I arrive at work to see my boss Balor waiting for me at my desk.
"Morning Bal!" I say approaching him with a smile.
"Morning Lea." He said with a slight smile.
"Did someone forget get there coffee this morning?" I said in a joking tone.
"Yes but that not the reason for my bitter mood." He said irritated.
"Ok? So you gonna stand there and pout or tell me what's going on." I said with a raised eyebrow.
"Your being transferred to a higher level position and I have no power to stop the change." He said looking down.
"What do you me higher level Balor!" I said.
"Well you remember Briar right the pregnant assistant for the CEO of the company? He said.
"Yes of course, did she have her baby!" I said
"Yes it was a beautiful baby girl, but besides that everyone was too scared to fill her position while on maternity leave and Reign Mancini requested you."
"Absolutely fucking not I will not work for that stuck up son of a bitch. I work for you and only you Balor." I said angrily.
"While I appreciate the loyalty you don't have a choice, if you refuse they will fire you." He said starring into the computer.
"Fuck. When do I start?" I said full of rage.
"Now, but before you head up there you should probably change because that outfit may fly here but it will not stand with Reign." He said looking at me up and down.
"Ok I have some extra cloths in the staff room. Im so sorry this has to happen Balor." I said sighing.
"It's ok Lea you'll be back soon enough." He said walking to his office.
I head to change my outfit in the bathroom I put on a simple black dress with black heels and tried to put my hair up as professional as possible before heading to the elevator. This is such bull shit I've worked for Balor for 5 years yes I've had the opportunity to move up but I've never wanted it, now I'm being forced.
I walk out of the elevator to hear screaming.
"I DONT CARE HOW FUCKING GOOD SHE IS SHES 5 MIN LATE AND I WONT STAND FOR THIS SHIT DO YOU HEAR ME!!!"
I see an older man walk out of the glass doors Turing to face me directly.
"Oh miss Claire we've been expecting you." He said sweating.
"So I've heard." I said in a distant voice.
"Yes my apologies about the noise miss Claire I'm afraid he has had a trying day. Im Valerian at your service ma'am." He said with a smile.
"Well Valerian 3 things about me you should know 1. Valerian is a lovely name but I will definitely be calling you Val it has a nice ring to it.
2. Miss Claire is my mom you can call me Dahlia or Lea which ever one you prefer.
3. Unfortunately for Mr. Mancini I refuse to work with a man of that temper so if he want to fire me then he can go right ahead.
"Well miss Claire... I mean Dahlia you will have to tell Mr. Mancini that yourself I'm just his butler here to remind him of his duties till you arrived. He will be waiting for you now. He smiles pointing toward the door.
"Thanks Val." I say returning the smile.
As I walk to the door I hear Val say 'She might be the one' I wondered what he meant as I walking into Reigns office. 
I am stoped in my tracks as a tall muscular dark haired man approaches me face to face.
"Do you know how fucking long I've been waiting for you."
