Purple Tulips

In the springtime's gentle breeze, I chanced upon a field,
Where the purple tulips swayed, their beauty unconcealed,
Their hue was like the twilight sky, a hue so deep and true,
And as I gazed upon their blooms, I thought of only you.

For you, my love, are like the flower, both pure and rare,
And just as the tulip's petals open, so too do I dare,
To reveal the love within my heart, a love so strong and true,
And though you may not know it yet, I'm forever drawn to you.

But oh, the fear that grips my heart, like a dark and stormy sea,
For what if you don't feel the same, what if you don't love me?
My soul is filled with longing, and my heart with silent pain,
As I hide my love away, like a secret in my brain.

Yet still I gaze upon the tulips, and the beauty they contain,
Their vibrant colors and sweet scent, like a song without a name,
And though my heart may ache and yearn, I cannot help but see,
That in this field of purple blooms, my heart is truly free.

So let the tulips be our guide, as we walk life's winding road,
For just like these majestic flowers, love too can be bestowed,
And though I may be just myself, and you may be just you,
Together we can bloom and grow, like the purple tulips do.
