"Hi, I'm Harriet," a small 5-year-old girl approached the three siblings, leaving them confused since it was not normal to see a child in a cemetery.

"Hi there, little one. What are you doing here alone?" the blonde asked the girl since they didn't see any adults nearby who could be the girl's relative.

"My dad came to visit my mommy. He said he wanted to talk to her alone."

"Okay. Harriet, it's a pleasure to meet you," said the eldest of the siblings, crouching down to the little girl's height. "My name is Elijah. They are my brothers. He is Niklaus, and she is Rebekah."

"What are you doing?" his brother whispered.

"She's just a child, Niklaus. She won't harm us."

"It's also a pleasure to meet you," the girl replied with a tender smile that made the hybrid stop being paranoid for at least a couple of minutes.

"Do you want us to accompany you while your father finishes talking to your mother?" the vampire asked.

"If it doesn't bother you. I don't like being alone in this place. It scares me."

"Don't be afraid. We'll protect you. Come, let's sit here," the blonde took the girl's hand and led her to a bench that was there. The siblings followed and sat around the girl.

"What does it feel like to have siblings?" the little girl questioned the elders.

"Don't you have any siblings?" Elijah asked.

"No. Dad says he's in heaven with Mom."

"Do you know what happened?" Klaus asked, making his siblings glare at him.

"My father told me that he died with Mom. He didn't get to be born."

"Okay. Going back to your question, having siblings is sometimes good and sometimes bad," the hybrid finally answered the little girl's question.

"Why?"

"It's good because you have someone to talk to, and you know they will always be with you no matter what happens. And sometimes it's bad because you fight with them, and they don't always agree with you."

"Harriet!" her father called from a distance.

"Oh, I have to go now. But if you want, you can come to my house. You can ask for it. It's the Salvatore mansion. Goodbye," the little girl said goodbye with a wave when she was already a little far away.
