"P-please, please don't hurt me!" A boy cries out into the darkness, chained to a wall. "Oh, I'm not going to hurt you," says someone from the dark abyss of night, "The time for hurting has run out, and the time for killing has begun!" Then, out of the darkness, a blinding light appeared. His eyes adjusted to the light just as he saw the last grain of sand fall. "No! Please no!" he shouted with such emotion that the hourglass shook and it broke upon the ground. "Too little, too late!" the woman shouts as he feels his arms start to sprout feathers, and his mouth turn into a beak. He tries to talk but instead he sounds like a hawk. What is happening to me, he thinks. His chains fell to the ground and he flies far far away. And watching from a window is a coyote with a woman's voice saying, "It's all falling into place," as she backs into the darkness like a wraith...
