Kyle Brovloski never understood the concept of love. His friends all got into long-lasting relationships but he could never hold one. Girls just didn't interest him as much as they interested his friends. He had considered that maybe he was asexual or that he just hadn't found the right girl. Whatever the case was, he didn't fully understand it.
Kyle's best friend, Stan Marsh, was a laidback boy. He had black hair and blue eyes. His voice was only a little bit deeper than Kyle's voice. Stan was of average height, 5 feet 9 inches. Kyle, on the other hand, was uptight and had to follow rules and get good grades. His hair was red and curly, falling just past his ears. He was 5 feet 11 inches tall, a height difference he often held over Stan's head.
One week at school when Kyle was eating lunch, stan sits next to him and slams his head against the table. "Dude!" Kyle exclaims, having been startled. "What the fuck are you doing?" Kyle asked Stan who hadn't lifted his forehead from the table. Stan tilts his head to the side, Kyle sees the tears in his eyes. "Stan?" Kyle puts a hand on Stan's back.
"It's Wendy... She fucking dumped me, dude." Stan sniffles. Kyle furrows his brow in worry. "Oh... dude... are you okay?", Stan shakes his head at Kyle's question. "She said I don't spend enough time with her, and that my texts were too dry. What does that even mean?" Stan groans into the table.
Kyle didn't know how to comfort stan, he had never gone through a serious breakup before so he didn't know how stan was feeling. "What would make you feel better? Do you want to come over and play video games at my house or something?"
Stan shakes his head, "I just want to disappear...". Kyle pats Stans back, "It'll be okay dude, you're gonna get over her."
Stan knocks his head against the table again before standing up. "Kyle, I think I'm gonna go home early, I don't wanna deal with school."
Kyle nods, "Okay, I'll let our teachers know."
Stan leaves the cafeteria. Kyle rakes his mind, trying to think of ways to help his best friend through this breakup. He suddenly sees two of his friends walk in, Tweek and Craig. These two had been together for 7 or 8 years now. Kyle gets up and hurries over to them for advice.
"Tweek, Craig! I need to know how to help Stan, his girlfriend just dumped him and I know next to nothing about relationships. Please help me."
Tweek and Craig look at each other. Tweek shrugs and Craig turns to Kyle to respond. "I don't know, we are gay so things kind of just work out for us. Girls are way more dramatic, we wouldn't know how to help someone who gets hung up on girls."
Kyle sighs and slowly nods, "Okay. Just pretend it was a gay breakup then, what advice would you give?"
Tweek tilts his head, "Probably try to distract him. Do things that will make him feel better and forget about the breakup."
Kyle scratches his eyebrow. "Okay... like what?"
"Hmm... just think of ways to please him. Make him happy, or something." Tweek responds.
"Okay, thanks, guys." Kyle walks back to his table and gets out his phone to do some research. The first thing he looks up is 'how to please a teen boy'.
